Best pet insurance

I have been extremely happy with their service. Processing turn around is fast and reimbursement is quick. Customer service is awesome. I am glad to have this insurance for my three dogs.

The best pet insurance company I've dealt with

My 12 year old kitty Boston was hospitalized with pancreatitis in May 2012($800), and shortly afterwards had biopsy to confirm Inflammatory Bowel Disease ($1500). With my $300 deductible met, Trupanion quickly paid 90% of those costs. They have continued to pay 90% of all medicines, x-rays, ultrasounds, surgeries, blood tests related to IBD. I've been able to spend literally thousands for Boston's care relating to IBD in the last 2+ years, because Trupanion is continuing to do what they said they would: pay 90% for related illness for the rest of his life. Thank heavens for Trupanion; because of them I still have my beautiful boy kitty.

quick and easy

This is my second time having to file a big claim for my poor pup and both times the experience was great. It was quick and easy to file my claim. I received follow up emails on the status of my claims and received my check within a week. I hope never to file another claim again, but having the insurance is worth it.

Best pet insurance company

My 10 month old newfie puppy has had to have multiple surgeries for hydronephrosis, hydroureter plus FCP of both elbows. Embrace covered everything, reimbursing me quickly. They even took the time to check up on my puppy to make sure he was doing OK. Great customer service!

Very happy that I chose Embrace Insurance

I started by insuring a dog I adopted from rescue, followed by my cat, and will now be adding yet another newly rescued dog to the policy. I have thus far only used the Wellness Plan reimbursement but I've been grateful for the help with budgeting for regular care. I appreciate the piece of mind in knowing that when my pets need care for accident or illness, they will be covered. The customer service has been great. When I encountered one problem, the employees were diligent about getting things resolved and keeping me in the loop.

Trupanion emergency insurance saved our Cleo

Our 8-year-old Saluki mix was hit and pinned under a car, resulting in internal injuries, numerous cuts and abrasions and a huge area of burned skin on her side. We rushed her to our emergency veterinarian, where she underwent a splenectomy, transfusion and other procedures to stabilize her. After two days she was transferred to the ICU of the veterinary hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for intensive treatment, a process which is still ongoing after more than a month. We were covered by Trupanion insurance, which reimburses 90% of costs for emergencies. They have been completely supportive in covering all claims to date, promptly and without question. We truly owe our dog's life to them, because without their support we would have had no choice but to euthanize her. I have recommended this company to many friends, who have had similar experiences with them.

So thankful that Embrace helped with my huge bill

The claim was handled promptly and my experience with them was terrific and provided me with great relief when my puppy needed emergency surgery after swallowing a large chunk of tennis ball that blocked his small intestine.

Most horrible customer service experience of my li

WHAT A FRAUD! We signed our rescue puppy up a few months after we got him, just in case, and are currently in the process of being scammed by this company. He was always our accident prone pup, with access to woods, so we wanted to make sure he was covered if anything ever happened. A few months before we even signed him up he had gotten in to something in the woods that made him very sick and had to be rushed to the emergency vet for fluids. Thus the reason for the insurance sign up in July. In early September or puppy wad diagnosed with epilepsy and I remember feeling this huge sense of relief having this insurance.....even lucky that we had signed him up and he was past the activation date before his diagnosis. The first claim I submitted was for his visit to the specialist which was denied because they do not cover office visits.....fine. The second, and last claim, I submitted was for his medication which I knew was supposed to be covered. Once this claim was submitted and I provided his medical records, they proceded to use any vet visit he ever had as evidence of his epilepsy, even the instance in which it is clearly noted by our vet that he got into something poisonous. When contacting the company all they had were drones answering the phones that just kept repeating "well, our policy..." but could not answer how he can have a pre existing condition when he wasn't diagnosed with any condition until September? Or why we would go through a rigorous and expensive testing if they already knew what it was? If the doctor didn't know what it was and had to refer us to a specialist, what makes the employees at healthy paws more qualified? The best part is that they denied refunding me in full because I had submitted claims....THAT WERE BOTH DENIED! If we weren't saddled with the cost of treating our epileptic dog, I would seriously consider seeking legal counsel to go over the policy and actions taken by healthy paws because there is something seriously wrong here and now that we have a diagnosis from the neurologist, he will never be eligible for insurance again. Thanks for screwing us in the short and long term healthy paws!
