Quick Claim Process

I took my dog in because she was dehydrated and not eating or drinking. I submitted the invoice on Tuesday and got an email Thursday letting me know my claim had been processed and I would be getting reimbursed. This was much faster than the first time I submitted a claim, which took nearly three weeks to process. However, Pets Best was very responsive and the customer service folks did a good job explaining why it was taking so long. The claims process is also very easy.

Awesome Customer Service - Great Experience!

I have utilized a wellness claim for a teeth cleaning for my cat and the claim was handled smoothly and quickly. Then, the silly boy got himself injured, apparently in a fight, and the claim for the covered portion of that injury was paid promptly again. Also, when I requested help with submitting a vet clearance for Toby the customer service was excellent and helpful. So far, my experience overall with Embrace has been outstanding!

You cannot wish for a better pet insurance company

Our 1 1/2 old mini dachshund Kate had a nasty MRSA outbreak which put her in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. She was on IV and a lot of meds. We almost lost her and it was a heart breaking experience I would not wish on anybody.HealtyPaws was with us through this ordeal all the way, reimbursing hefty medical bills and following up with the hospital staff on the records and documentation. You cannot wish for a better pet insurance company. Compassionate and super helpful. Kate and us will be grateful to you for the rest of our lives. THANK YOU!!!!!!

Best Decision We've Made

Healthy paws has been amazing for our dog over the past two years. We got it immediately upon bringing our standard bernedoodle home at 8 week in June of 2014. We have made three claims for Finn over the years. All three (though they varied in amount and type) were paid within just a couple of days, and were a breeze to submit. Our dog is repeat sock eating offender, and when he had to have surgery to remove one, Healthy Paws paid our claim quickly and saved us from having thousands in credit card debt. They even reached out personally to see how Finn was doing, and make sure he was okay. The personal service is spectacular, and their coverage options are great. We're actually bringing home a new puppy next week, and will have Healthy Paws covering him from day one. While the monthly fee may not be something that is fun to pay, having the comfort that when we need them most, they will be there is worth every penny. I recommend them to all of our friends and family, and there won't be a day that goes by that our pups aren't protected by Healthy Paws.

Great pet insurance.

My 11 year old shih tzu has had a lot of health problems this past year. I have been with Embrace pet insurance since 2009. Buying pet insurance was one of the smartest things I've done! The company is very efficient. Their system for filing claims is so easy. When the claim is complete, I usually receive a check within 2-3 weeks. When I call the office with a question, I'm never disappointed with customer service. Very happy customer!!!

Coverage vanished just when I needed it.

It is ok for accidents but if your dog gets any possible illnesses just watch how quickly you coverage is invalidated by pre-existing conditions even after being insured for years. There is a big asterix on the no coverage increases. They have increased by 25% every year with the excuse of my area is now more expensive. If you have a deductible you will find everything is a new illness/incident so you will end up covering most out of pocket. Oh, when they post "We understand your concerns please calls us..." I did and it is always the bullshit stories. "Oh, we are looking into making preexisting covered if you just stay with us another 6 months." "There are new options for treating your dog if it gets sick so we have to increase the premiums, but you are still paying as if she was a younger dog." "We can't cover this because your vet said 3 years ago that she had demodex so obviously she had a thyroid condition even then" I should have listened to the vet shortly after I got her and gone with another company. I was drawn in by the promise the premiums would not increase and that there was no upper limit on the coverage even though it cost more than my other options.

Worthless avoid at all costs (pun intended)

We have two English Bulldogs covered by AKC Pet Partners. This insurance is less than worthless. Veterinary completed claim forms are submitted and they ask for more records making the vet jump, through hoops. We call and are promised return calls that are never made. Unfortunately 0 is not a rating option. 1 year old female EB, severe skin allergies, hospitalized 7 days, denied claim because she was treated once for yeast in her skin folds. 10 month male EB luxating patella, claim denied, 2 days short of 180 day period, genetic problem, in spite of being aggravated by injury, claim denied. In my opinion this company should have their license revoked! Both claims were denied after SEVERAL weeks of being told "the check's in the mail".

A+!

I could not be happier with Healthy Paws. Both our young cat and dog are currently covered. Our dog Rufus has had to have foreign body surgery TWICE. Unfortunately, he has a penchant for eating small rubber objects (all rubber toys have since been removed from my house, I promise!). He also has allergies and sees a veterinary dermatologist regularly. ALL of this has been covered with our Healthy Paws insurance. I have been in contact with HP by phone, email and by filing claims through the phone app. Everything has been super easy and claim checks come back quickly - I received the check for the last surgery before Rufus' staples were even out. I own a dog day care and training facility in Seattle and recommend (OK, even push) my clients to get this insurance. It has saved our family!

Healthy Paws there when you need it!

My dogs are my 4 legged kids and I love them fiercely. I do however have a track record of having very expensive babies :) My Clumber needed hip replacements, my Saint had shoulder issues, and the list goes on and on. Last year after spending to many thousands on vet bills I decided yes pet insurance would be worth the monthly premiums on all future babies. So when I adopted Lenny I did my homework and decided on Healthy Paws. I read customer reviews and professional reviews and researched their site. I felt Healthy Paws offered the best value for the premium. I was right! After an initial vet exam when I adopted him I was told he looks to be in good health. Yah!!! However about 9 months later I noticed he was lifting his leg to pee a lot of our walks but nothing much coming out. I also noticed he did not have the same energy he used to and was clingier than usual. Taking him to the vet he was diagnosed with bladder stones and the kind that have to be operated on. So in he goes for surgery. Thankfully the surgery went great and they removed stone and after a week of wearing a donut collar the stitches came out and he's back to normal. Enjoying his daily walks & snoozing on the couch.I submitted my claim to Healthy Paws online and after my vet faxed over records I had a check within a couple days. What a help! They then went above and beyond and contacted me to check on Lenny. This made me feel like my pup and I mattered and weren't just a file to them. THANK YOU!!! I have to say that working with Healthy Paws has been wonderful and I am thankful for your their help with the process. I would highly recommend Healthy Paws to all pet owners.
