Best Thing For My Dogs
I can not say enough great things about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. One of my dogs had to have major eye surgery and I am so thankful that I have coverage for her with Healthy Paws. I submitted the claim online on a Saturday night. Monday they emailed me asking for her complete medical history. I got that from my vet and emailed that to Healthy Paws. Thursday of the same week Healthy Paws notified me that the claim was complete and how much my reimbursement was. Fast and fair - who could ask for more than that??!!

My cat has been terribly sick with Triad Syndrome - it's a chronic illness. This insurance has helped me so much. They are prompt, attentive and always helpful. I like the personal emails - so unusual these days.

I feel this company is extremely fair, in my experience signing up with them will be an asset in the monetary requirements of responsible pet ownership. It is superior in all ways to my other carrier but I cannot change due to existing issues and the age with my first pet.

Easy Breezy reimbursements!
Embrace rocks! We had a different Insurance company with our first dog and it was always a tedious chore trying to collect our claims. They almost always wanted more documentation and found any excuse to deny claims. Embrace is just the opposite! I have policies for both my doggies for the past 5 years and have never had a problem with them!

We adopted Mia from the Burlington Humane Society. When we took her on, we knew she’d had G.I. health issues stemming from a serious roundworm infestation. Knowing we were taking on a cat who'd started out life at a disadvantage, we thought we'd be wise and invest in pet insurance. Both our fantastic vet and the shelter recommended Pets Plus Us, so we went with them. And honestly, this decision was a life saver, or at least a life extender, for our cat. For the first year, Mia had continuing G.I. problems stemming not only from roundworm, but other parasites picked up while she was on her own before being rescued. We were nearly at the one year mark when we finally solved this issue. Throughout this, Pets Plus Us was with us every step of the way, covering 80% of our bills as per our agreement. It was just a week later that Mia was diagnosed with terminal cancer; our oncologist gave her only 4 weeks to live without a nearly $5000 chemotherapy treatment that wouldn't cure her but only slightly extend her life. Only the fact that we were with Pets Plus Us gave us the opportunity to fight for our cat. My husband has been out of work for over a year and a half and as the only breadwinner in a family of 4, this is the kind of extra expense that I couldn't manage on my own. But with Pets Plus Us taking on 80% of that bill, we had the freedom to agree to treatment and started right away. We're now over 6 weeks into treatment and things have gone amazingly well—the huge tumour in her neck disappeared in literally 48 hours. But we're very aware that we wouldn't have our girl with us anymore if it wasn't for Pets Plus Us. Hopefully we'll get through the 6 months of chemo. Past that, we may have only bought her 3 months or maybe up to 2 years. It’s a fatal diagnosis, but it allows us more time with her for now. Pets Plus Us has been nothing short of amazing. They make their electronic reimbursements to us in literally a matter of hours after submission. But they really show who they are by the little messages they send. You wouldn't think an insurance company would be happy handing over $2000 for chemo, but at the bottom of the receipt, they included a personal message: ' We are wishing Mia all the very best and are here for support if you need us.' On top of that, they actually called one evening to check in and see how she was doing, an unheard of customer service in this day and age. No doubt about it, this is a special kind of company.

Highly Recommend!
We have insurance for both of our cats. We have been fortunate not to need it until this year, when one of our guys was diagnosed with FIV. He has probably had it since before we adopted him, and his symptoms quickly became expensive. He is very loved, and we would take care of him no matter what, but it was a huge relief to know we had a financial safety net through his insurance. Our claims have been processed quickly and efficiently, and we have received several phone calls from the office just to see how the little guy was doing. I sent a picture with our most recent claim and got a phone call almost immediately saying how much they enjoyed it. Those personal touches mean a lot in a very stressful time... Knowing that the foundation of this company is a love of animals and having them take true interest in our pets pushes them ahead of other insurance options we explored. I am absolutely thrilled with our entire experience. The combination of excellent coverage, quick reimbursement, and the warmth and compassion of the service team are unparalleled. I recommend this to all my fellow pet parents without hesitation.

8 months of sleepless nights
After 8 months of dealing with sleepless nights while Wedge • gasping while sleeping • 24 runny nose 3 surgerys later, Soft palate trimmed, Rhinoplasty and Sliding Hernia operation I am now comfortable to report that our crazy, awesome, funny, lovable pug is finally sleeping with reduced gasping, no runny nose, he can breath 1000 times better, he isn't sucking his stomach in. Bonus his breath doesn't smell bad anymore too. He is almost back to normal. Thank goodness for the decision 8 years ago to sign up for pet insurance. Trupanion has helped out on all surgerys. What could have cost us $8k or more. Cost $800.

Trupanion has great coverage
My dog was diagnosed with heart failure almost 2 years ago. The medications, xrays, bloodwork, echocardiograms, etc. cost thousands of dollars. Trupanion paid 90% of the costs and the money was usually in my account before my credit card bill came in. I'm not sure I could have afforded such wonderful veterinary care without them. I chose Trupanion (vetinsurance) because there wasn't a limit for each category of care/diagnosis.
