Worth it, and at least easy to use

Insurance is one of those things you hope you never use. I did the math and Healthy Paws seemed like the best for me. I haven't had to use it as much for my cat .But it was worth it for my wolfhound! The good thing is that they pay out quickly. In fact I can use the app to submit the claim before I've left the doctor's office and I get the check in a few days, which is way better than my own health insurance. I understood when I did the math that they wouldn't pay for routine stuff (vaccines and the office visits) which makes sense, though it always FEELS irritating when I submit those visits and most of the claim is denied. However when I have had a real problem, they paid out promptly for everything else, which is a relief. My dog just had a 7K visit to the ICU which I put on my credit card -- the insurance payment showed up before the CC bill did.

I have had Trupanion since my dog was 8 weeks old. I have made 2 claims in the past 4 years. The first one, I got pre-approval, the claim was reviewed and accepted. I was go pleased with their promptness. The second one was recently and within 2 days of receiving the claim I got a letter saying they had received the claim. Then within a week I received my reimbursement. This is a great company, prompt, courteous and worth the peace of mind knowing in an emergency they will relieve the burden of the vet bill. Healthy Paw is the BEST

I wish all insurance companies (ie those for humans) were as responsive as Healthy Paws. My family adopted a rambunctious Great Dane who's deaf and partially sighted, and he's gotten into some mischief. He swallowed two small stuffed animals whole (yes, whole) and swallowed some medicine that he dug out of my purse. He also had ripped his paw pad. That translates to three trips to the emergency vet in the last five months, and therefore three claims submitted to Healthy Paws insurance. In each case, the claim was processed within a couple of days and we had a check within the week. Wow! My husband said, "Zane has better insurance than we do." Not only that, they followed up in an email asking how our dog was doing! If you're looking for a reliable pet insurance company that is responsive, pays quickly, and has truly nice customer service, then Healthy Paws is for you. I'm so happy that I decided on Healthy Paws when I bought insurance for our dog.

Life Saver

Embrace is truly a great pet insurance company. I have my first dog and they have been very helpful from the beginning of planning to become a member and while being a member. They have helped tremendously with wellness and emergency issues for my dog. I am so glad I found them and so is my dog's vet.

I have been extremely happy with Healthy Paws insurance. Very easy to submit claims using the App or signing in on website. Each claim I submitted was processed smoothly and quickly.

Best customer service!

I am amazed at the quick turnaround from this company. Whenever we have sent in a claim, we have gotten a confirmation of receipt of our claim in less than 48 hours - often 24. Then we received our 2 reimbursements in less than 2 weeks. When does this ever happen? They are also wonderful on the phone. I also appreciated the e-mail wanting to confirm that I had received the checks they had sent me . Best customer service I have ever experienced . So glad I found this company!

Fast and reliable!!

My cat was hit by a car and I had just gotten Healthy Paws about 3 months prior. When I had to submit my claim for the surgery it was easy! I used the app took a picture of the invoice, and asked my vet to send the medical records and my claim was processed the next day. They sent me an email letting me know how much I would be reimbursed and then the check was in my mail box in 4 days. They're super simple and no hassle! Can't thank them enough I will be a lifelong member.

IF ONLY....

Trupanion is simply THE BEST !

OMG, where should I begin, my 12 years and 6 month old other wise healthy Pug would not eat but drink only water and vomit that too...this was going on for 3-4 days before I traced out where our vet Dr. John O'Dea has moved, long story short, he referred us to VCA San Leandro, an Oncology speciality for pets. That please is very good too. Tuesday night Dr. Kristen Danielson examined my Pug, Veeran in the emergency at 8:30, and she stabilized him with an IV. We went back the next morning at 9:30 and he was prepped for Ultra Sound, Dr. Tong radiologist, did his part and Surgen Dr. Kimberly Carlson, took over Veeran along Oncologist Dr. Christine Merrick, both the vets shared the diagnosis with us and gave us options.., by looking at the ultasound images,we think it is intestinal Cancer, is operable and our dog was taken into surgery from Ultasound ....we accepted and shared Trupanion info with Sarah and before Veeran was taken into surgery, I received an email from Trupanion, that the procedure for my dog is pre approved. This is why I am giving a 10/10. That peace of mind at that time in our live is worth every year we paid our dues to Trupanion! My dog is 12. 6 years old and We choose to go for surgery, why because I cannot see my dog in pain and let him die in front of me...without us trying to save him and so we tried....and boy are we glad we did.
