Best insurance experience ever!!
I have had the experience of filing claims for my beloved 4 year old lab on more than one occasion. The staff at the ASPCA are so superb that should be the service model for all insurance companies, and other businesses too. Must be their love for animals that make them such great people to deal with. Thank you so much. I actively promote ASPCA to my pet owning family and friends. I would give 10 stars if I could. And a shot out to Bob, you are the best. He actually called me days after just to ask how my Belle was feeling!.

Waste of $ / Harrass when you want to cancel
Rates go up every year though they deny raising rates based upon your dog's age. Very limited as far as what they will cover. For example, my dog had a blood test as part of a preventitive exam - the blood test diagnosed lyme disease. While lyme disease was in fact diagnosed - and diagnostic tests are supposedly covered - they refused to cover the cost of the blood test because it was part of a preventative exam. Denied my claim and my appeal (how can something be preventitive if it diagnoses a disease??). After spending $55+ per month over a three year period for this insurance I decided to call the company to cancel as the coverage is too limited and what they cover is very subjective. When trying to cancel, I was completely harassed by the person on the phone, who tried to convince me to stay. He was demeaning, told me I was making a big mistake, asked me how I was going to afford pay for my dog's healthcare if I cancelled, etc. The treatment I received was quite unbelievable - complete harassment. The company should be ashamed of itself. Avoid at all costs!

Very Satisfied
Our Shih tzu mix "Lola" blew her knee out chasing balls at the park. It ultimately required TPLO surgery and Healthy Paws came through like a champ... picking up all the cost except our deductible. Super easy to put in the claim using the phone app and very fast and friendly service. They even emailed after the surgery to ask how Lola was coming along. Highly recommend.

Great pet insurance- very prompt!
Went with Embrace because they were sponsored by USAA. Their customer service is phenomenal, they are extremely prompt with their processing times, and overall just wonderful to work with.

Excellent Service! Friendly, kind and professional
I have been very impressed with the customer service people in the call center for PetPartners. In the past nine or ten years I have insured three pets -- two cats and my dog. Unfortunately, sadly, I have lost two of them and during their illnesses, Pet Partners customer service people have been very kind at difficult times. The people who I have spoken with seem to "not just have jobs," they are true animal lovers who have empathy and work to help you to understand your policy benefits and to do what they can to explain any steps you or your vet need to take. As with any policy, always read it carefully when selecting which coverage you want and consider (sorry...) worst case scenarios. And... check it periodically to see if you need to adjust it. I purchased the policies as soon as I brought my pet companions into my home. In my case they were kittens and a puppy. :D I absolutely give the people a 10. By the way, the people on the phone were terrific about follow through. The company was slow on processing a couple of claims -- but they were also quick to explain what additional information my vet needed to submit once I contacted them about the delay. So the delay is the reason I will give them a slightly lower rating.

Exceptional
You get what you pay for. Unquestionable coverage that helped to save the life of my little princess. I couldn't have done it without the support of Trupanion. Thank you!

Unless you get your pet as a puppy...run!
I adopted a 3 year old dog who had previously been attacked by another dog. Suffice it to say, he has a nervous disposition. For the first few months we had him, he had chronic loose stools and diarrhea two times as we tried to get him on a food that would be appropriate for him and get him used to our family. Fast forward a year later when one night my dog started having severe diarrhea and vomiting to the point where he had blood in his feces and was vomiting blood. We rushed him to the emergency vet where they gave him fluids, anti-nausea medication and an antibiotic. We had to rush him back the next day where they performed an ultrasound to make sure he had no blockages as he wasn't getting better. It took almost a week but he recovered and cost us $1000.00. No sane person would say the two episodes, almost a year apart, were related but Trupanion did. They denied our claim saying his diarrhea and vomiting was a 'pre-existing condition'. Seriously? Just about anything could be a preexisting condition then, save getting hit by a car, breaking a bone or the like. A total waste of money.

Maya is acting like she is 6 when she is 16!
Our little Chihuahua Maya was diagnosed with tooth root resorption syndrome --although her teeth looked normal and she had 2 dental cleanings a year, her immune system was attacking her tooth roots and causing her pain which she hid from us and she had an unusual snuffling problem (reverse sneezing). Thanks to Mercer Island Veterinary Clinic and the fabulous Dr. Crocker this was finally diagnosed with dental X-rays. After two surgeries and 22 teeth removed, Maya is acting like a puppy. Mercer Island also has Trupanion's software which allowed them to submit the claim for us and Trupanion paid them directly, so we only had to come up with our copay and deductible --it was over $9,000 total cost, so it was a big relief to only pay a couple of hundred out of pocket. Thanks Trupanion!
