NOTHING BUT A SHAM
We recently purchased a puppy and being playful as puppies are he got a bit too excited and hurt his leg. We watched how he walked for a couple of days and were worried he may have broken a bone so we took him to the vet. The vet examined him and ordered x-rays and pain medicine. We filed our claim weeks ago and it has gone back and forth between the insurance and the vet. We are still out of pocket and the premiums will be higher than paid claims. Too bad this practice of insurance shams are not legally stopped. BUYER BEWARE

Peace of mind
My rescue pup had a lump on his rear end. It had to be removed because it could get bigger and needed to be biopsied to make sure it wasn't cancerous. This was my first claim with Healthy Paws and it couldn't have gone any better. Submitting my claim on the phone was so easy. I received an email promptly telling me it was being reviewed and I received a check in the mail within ten days. Customer Service followed up to see how he was doing. The lump was not cancerous and pup is doing great! I have recommended Healthy paws to all my friends with pets and I am so glad we signed up for it.

Great experience so far
Dealing with Embrace doesn't even feel like dealing with an insurance company. Amazing customer service (they just emailed me to make sure I received a check they sent less than a week ago), fair premiums, and comprehensive coverage. I'd recommend them to anybody with a pet.

Purr-fect Pet Insurance
When Boom-Boom fractured his canine due to an accident, he had to have oral surgery to extract the tooth. Healthy Paws covered a large percentage of the procedure, which was expensive. Healthy Paws processed my claim form so quickly, in just a few hours! Boom-Boom has recovered from his surgery; he is running around outside, catching mice, and eating well. Two-and-a-half years ago, Boom-Boom appeared on the doorstep of our Tibetan Buddhist community; he was a homeless stray. We gave him a loving home, and thanks to Healthy Paws, we were able to give him excellent healthcare. By purchasing pet insurance from Healthy Paws, I am supporting their mission to find homes for homeless animals.

Premium Hikes
Trupanion raises insurance rates by 10-20% each year. I got it in 2013 when I got a new puppy and have had it for 3 years now. My first year's monthly premium was $51.49, second year $56.35, third year $67.63, and today I received an updated policy with an increase to $81.15. I chose Trupanion because they said they don't increase premiums based on claims or the dog's age, but what I am seeing are huge hikes. They said this relates to increased vet costs in my area, but I am very aware of the costs around here and they have not changed in a long time. Do the math and figure how just how soon this policy becomes useless with annual increases of 20%. Insurance is mainly necessary when the dog is a senior, perhaps at around 10 years of age, and by that point, at this rate, you would have paid Trupanion about $18,000. Pretty sure it's better to save this money in a savings account which pays you interest instead of feeding Trupanion's CEO.

Embrace is Fair and Dependable!
Embrace continues to pay promptly and I am grateful. My Doxie Meggy (Who is my Heart) has had a few episodes of Vestibular Disease as well as gastrointestinal problems. Happy to say she is getting great care and I am grateful for the help from Embrace Pet Insurance. I felt confident about them when I signed up as they were recommended by USAA Insurance. I have recommended them to my friends also.

Best Investment I Have Made for My Cats
When I adopted my kittens last summer, I was trying to decide whether to get pet insurance of not. At first, I thought that I would pay out more than I would ever spend on claims. I looked around for insurance and found Healthy Paws. It turned out that the monthly payments were very reasonable for the 2 kittens, so I decided to go with it. I am happy that I did because about a month ago, one of kittens were playing and all of a sudden, she started limping. I took her to the vet and it turned that she cracked the head on her femur bone. The medical bills came to over $2,000.00 and, except for the $250.00 co-pay, Healthy Paws paid 80% of the bill. It was terrible that I had a cat that needed surgery, but at least I didn't have to worry about how to pay for it. The insurance through Healthy Paws is the best investment I could have made for my kitties.

None in the past year but still a huge premium increase.

By far the best pet insurance!
Sadly, my dog has had her fair share of Embrace claims but of all claims I've submitted, I've had zero issues with Embrace paying out. My dog has been diagnosed with lymphangiectasia caused by IBD and most recently Lymphoma in a matter of 2 years with Embrace. Embrace has paid out 80% (per my policy) every time with no excuses and very minimal additional information from our vets. This includes ultrasounds, xrays, tons of bloodwork, chemo, and all her medications. Only thing is they don't cover the more holistic supplements with their insurance plans but I've used their wellness plan for that and it covers 100% until those funds are depleted. Their wellness plan also allows you to get reimbursed if you buy supplements online too! I get my reimbursements back in less than a week most of the time, or up to a week at the most and vets are amazed with how little they are hassled for special letters, additional documents, etc that they have needed to provide other companies that request them but still don't pay out for the services. Our oncologist is now recommending Embrace to all their clients because how fast they saw I was getting money back. I'm in there weekly and I have the funds in my bank account by the time I'm in there the next week.
