What a relief to have help with my Three cats!

After an emergency trip into the animal hospital with one of my cats, I found myself frightened about the reality of the possibilities that the expense of three cats which I love so much could leave me broke or possibly have their life end because I couldn't afford their care! I called my granddaughter who is a Vet Tech while I was in the animal hospital waiting to hear what was wrong and she said, "grandma you really should get pet insurance", and then told me about Embrace Pet Insurance, and I signed up my three cats and as a result I was able to get their teeth examined and cleaned and one of them had been suffering with a fractured tooth and needed to be extracted! Had I not had Embrace to back me up, my poor cat would had gone on suffering without my knowing! Embrace helps me to be a greater pet owner and gives me peace of mind to know if need be in the event of what happened to my cat prior to Embrace, I could make the trip with.more confidence! The Claims Process Is Very Eas…

The claims process is very easy. I scan and upload my invoice and documentation, Pets Best does the rest. Several days later I receive an email saying my claim is being processed followed by a second email that says my claim is completed. Reimbursement follows. It doesnt get much easier than that. "

Good, but only b/c I'm stuck with them

I enrolled my dog in Trupanion back in 2008 when they were called Vet Insurance. Back then, they were great. Low monthly premium, no deductible, and 90% coverage for everything. Quick responses and cheques. Forward 8 months later and premiums increase due to "rising vet costs in the area". Several notices of increases over the years meant that it was no longer financially doable for me to keep the same coverage I had, it had gone up to over $150/month (it started at $35). So yes, they "Doesn’t punish pet owners for filing claims by reducing coverage", but they'll find another way to punish you in the only other fine print that allows them to raise premiums.

Insurance company with a heart!

I have been a Healthy Paws customer for several years. I adopted another dog, and added her to our plan in early December. I admit, I was shopping around, but in the end I stayed with Healthy Paws because it seemed like the best policy for our two Havanese dogs. Well, I certainly chose well. Only weeks after adding our Pippa, I noticed she had some red in her right eye. I only noticed it because my husband went to pet her and she gave him the "whale eye". Thinking she had scratched her eye, I watched it for a day or two, but it just kept nagging at me. So, off to the vet, crazy dog momma. I expected the vet to say she had a scratch, or even pink eye, but no, instead I hear "very concerned". And then a visit with the eye vet the next day and my heart is broken. Within 48 hours, our baby's eye was removed due to a tumor in her eye. I am still reeling from the shock of it, but here is where Healthy Paws comes in to this story. They were nothing short of fantastic. After filing my claim, I heard from them almost immediately They needed Pippa's prior records, that was on a Thursday. I got the records from the vet on Saturday, then emailed them that Monday. Within hours, or even less, I had notification of their claim review and what they were covering, less of course the expected deductible. I only had to speak to a representative once as I had a question on how to file a claim and the rep was kind and sympathetic. I am totally blown away by the customer service of this company, and their quick responses, including a thank you from them responding to MY thank you email to their claims department. This is an insurance company with a heart, and boy is it evident in their customer service.. Thank you Healthy Paws!

Relief!

Recently, our 6 year old boy was diagnosed with hip dysplasia and we were absolutely SHOCKED. We started noticing a "bunny hop" and some hesitation when playing ball so we decided to go for XRAYS. Our local vet had "never seen anything like it" and said it was so bad he wasn't sure if anything could be done. You can imagine the sheer panic. We moved forward with an appointment to get a second opinion and to our relief, the second opinion vet believes he can be fixed. We have an appointment with a surgeon to confirm and to also schedule what we believe to be a double rear total hip replacement. We submitted the claim for the first XRAY visit and were told by Embrace that all future specialist visits and anything related to this diagnosis would be covered. After being through so much already, it was such a relief that we can move forward with getting our boy the treatment and care he deserves. Thank you to the Embrace team for your support both now and in the future!

Greatest people to deal with

The turnaround for reimbursement is fantastic. They follow up with phone calls to check on my pet's condition. I have had this insurance for quite a few years and they have covered other claims prior to my current one. I have and will continue to recommend them to all my friends and family.

A ver smart choice! Fully covered surgery.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Healthy Paws. They fully covered a very expensive surgery unbelievably quickly. Our ten month old border collie, Athena needed surgery on her knee. Being a very active border collie makes recovering major leg surgery very difficult. Having Healthy Paws insurance has really removed a great deal of the stress from Athena's parents so our energy can go towards the challenge of keeping Athena engaged without activity. I'm feeling very smart to have bought of insurance and even smarter for choosing Healthy Paws. There rapid response was amazing. When I called with a question they couldn't have been more concerned and helpful. I wish people insurance could be like this.
