It was a relief to have pet insurance.
Annie, my Maltese, was sick with unknown intestinal problems and was admitted to the local veterinary hospital for a couple of days. She needed all sorts of tests and treatment. It was a costly situation but knowing that I had insurance was a huge relief. Healthy Paws worked with the hospital to process the necessary paperwork and kept me informed on the status of my claim. I received the check within a month and I am very grateful to have the insurance and pleased with their handling of my claim. Annie is home and feeling fine!

Who Knew Dog Rear Ends Could Be So Expensive?
Our rescue doberman ended up having some badly infected anal sacs. The costs quickly added up-- anaerobic culture tests, 4-month supply of Clavamox and its generic version, starting the dog on Apoquel and a prescription diet (our vet believes this is all allergy based). We burned through our deductible in 2 visits. I sent claims to Embrace via email and they responded and opened a claim within a day or two (depending on time of week). The only reason there was a delay between submitted claims and approval was because of some trouble getting our dog's medical history. Once that was submitted, everything processed very quickly and smoothly.

A stressful time, but Embrace was there
January was a tough month for my pup, Picard. He had an injury (emergency vet visit) 12/22; then on 1/1 had blood in his urine, unrelated (and another emergency vet visit). There were several follow up visits and tests until we ID'd the cause and a course of treatment, just days before I was scheduled to go overseas. The bills added up, but Embrace reimbursed much, and did so quickly, which really eased much of my stress. Thank you Embrace. I'm so grateful you are Picard's insurer.

Like it. Have had it since 1996. Now on second dog
Our first dog had parvo, pancreatitis, arthritis, and eventually, cancer. Insurance helped us a lot with medical bills. Last treatment was 17 courses of radiation of nasal tumor, plus consultations, etc. Insurance paid what it supposed to pay.Now when we got a new puppy I signed up again with no hesitation. Actually, I found that now, the new policies for coverage are even better than we had before few years ago. Our puppy in his chewing vigor managed to break canine teeth and the gums were infected. We had to do dental surgery on him. and Insurance paid 90% of expenses. I would recommend this insurance. Claims are processes fairly and quickly.

Very Happy with Healthy Paws
I am very pleased with my choice of Healthy Paws as my dog's insurance provider. At the time I researched I found their rates to be competitive with other providers. I specifically needed a provider that covered the possibility of an ACL injury, as my Labrador is very active and a friend's dog had just suffered an ACL tear. Healthy Paws required a waiting period before they would cover an ACL injury, which was fine with me. But an ACL isn't what got us. Tito was stricken with discospondylitis, an excruciating, infectious condition of one or more spinal discs that spreads into the adjacent vertebrae causing pain and possible permanent disability. Treatment costs would have been easily close to $3000. After the deductible, the policy paid for most of his medications and special diagnostic procedures. Tito is fully recovered. Making claims is very easy with the app, and reimbursements are prompt. I highly recommend!!

EXCELLENT!
I can't say enough about Embrace Pet Insurance. Extremely responsive, but most of all compassionate. I submitted a claim for euthanasia services for my dog who was in kidney failure. When I submitted the claim, I got an unsolicited, nice note back expressing condolences. I feel like part of the Embrace family!
