Convenient and quick
Nobody wants to need pet insurance but its so vitally important when you do need it. My 4 year old sphynx developed anorexia and dehydration suddenly and needed 3 days in emergency vet care with IV fluids and antibiotics. Having embrace gave me the confidence I needed to get my cat the very best care without worrying too much about the impact it would have on our family financially. Embrace was quick to start my claim and update me that the claim had been received. The website is easy to navigate and check up on claim status. The claim was completed quickly- I was amazed how fast they were able to assist me. Once the claim was completed they were able to direct deposit the money into my account which was so convenient and quick. I am happy with Embrace. Coverage is good. Service is fast. They are good communicators. Their website makes everything easy.

Reimbursement rates are not great and slow processing times
I find that the allowable limits are consistently less (sometimes as little as 25%) than what my vets actually charge. We have had vets in both the east and west coasts and had this discrepancy with both. I also am in disagreement that lifelong issues have a cap. My dog has severe allergies and requires a specialist and several thousand dollars per year in meds but my claims are denied. Processing claims has also gotten very slow over the years. When I first joined, I would receive a check within a few days. Currently I wait up to a month.

Big help for me and my cat
I don't have very good luck on my pet's health. My cat got urinary blockage 3 times in 2 years. It cost over $1000 each time. So, I have a lot to say about my experience with healthy paws. So far, I think it's a very brilliant idea to choose this insurance. Pros: 1. Claim procedure is super easy. I had my vet sent them the health record, I took pictures of the invoice and submitted on line, the process completed within 1 week and I received the check the week after. I didn't need to talk to any agent, no questions asked, they paid everything with the agreed percentage except the examination fee and the cost prescription food. 2. the deductible is annually, not per claim. It makes the difference when my cat got sick the second time in a year. Cons: can't think of any, probably a little bit more expensive than the other insurance? But just a little bit, and I think it worth it. I don't have experience with other insurance company, but this is as good as I can expect.
