Best pet insurance company ever

I have used other pet insurance companies in the past and no other company is better than Embrace. I have used them for the last eight years and they have always been fair, responsive and quick to respond. Both my daughters also use Embrace for their dogs and they are happy as well with their coverage and support. I wish the medical insurance company at my work was as good.

My dog Shelby had a lump on her front leg and I was worried that she might have cancel so took her in for Xrays and bloodwork to see what the problem was. Thank goodness no cancer.

Embraces delivers

My dog required radiation therapy for hiw ankle due to tumor. The way to pay the radiation facility is not pay per visit but prepay in 2 installments after initial payment for evaluation. Embrace called the facility to verify and promptly covered my expense appropriate. I am very grateful since the treatments are very expensive. Thank you.

Denied coverage on a puppy with little history!

Here I am sad on Xmas as TRUPANION has denied my puppy an MRI to diagnose him with a potential illness. Merry Xmas All! I have, as well as a family lawyer reviewed our TRUPANION contract signed and went thoroughly over TRUPANIONs wording and compared it to my dogs history and it does not add up to a denial claim. TRUPANION requested all notes from our vet. As my puppy has very limited history, Trupanion had to find anything- anything at all to deny his important MRI. TRUPANION found a note from my vet stating that the owner (me) asked about a behavior I was concerned about. THAT WAS IT!! Absolutely Nothing was ever diagnosed by my vet. That behavior is NOT even the reason I'm getting the MRI but somehow TRUPANION trIED to link it not to pay! This was only A question I had for the vet, a hypochondriac mother with NO MEDICAL BACKGROUND was enough for an insurance company to deny me coverage. I can't believe I was about to add my other dog to this coverage😦 Even the Vet who wrote the note said it was really strange way to deny and that he wants to talk to them personally! I am vigorously fighting this denial. My point is, PLEASE EVERYONE BE VERY WEARY of TRUPANION. They will find any loop hole, they will find any note, even not a diagnosis to consider it a diagnosis just so YOU have to pay. What is the point of insurance I ask? I am broken hearted on Xmas. My poor puppy is not a year old and insurance is now dictating his entire livelihood & future care he hasn't even made it to a year old! . What is this? No Good faith in TRUPANION ? I was very scared to get pet insurance due to all the horror stories and the insurance manager promised me that what I've heard would not come true. My intuition is right unfortunately. If anyone has any questions you can contact me any time I would love to add more details to this story. Yes, I will be seeking counsel as counsel has expressed to me this is a very good case if they don't reverse this claim. I have to, I have to stand up for big insurance companies Who bully that don't have our puppies best interest at heart. The little guy will fight.

unimpressed -tick bite not covered

I didn't know a tick was not an insect. They don't cover tick bites because they call them parasites, which are not covered. Semantics. I cancelled them. They DID cover an injury earlier, but one has to pay a lot more to get decent coverage. They never return emails. Because of that word play, I will not renew with them, but will seek out others

Great response from Embrace

Our 2 year old cat somehow managed to swallow a needle and thread! Emergency vet surgery was a complete success and he is doing beautifully as far as we and the vet can tell. Embrace never hesitated and we could not be happier with regard to the entire process and coverage.

One More Day with My Friend

People often say they “would give anything to have one more day” with a friend or loved one. Unfortunately, the realization of “anything” leads to financial disaster in addition to heartbreak. I took out Healthy Paws Pet Insurance the day I brought my puppy home five years ago. I thought he would most likely do something stupid such as swallowing a stick, eating gum, or some other “dog” activity that was not well thought out by him or his owner. For five years we paid on our Healthy Paws Insurance without a claim. I was tempted to cancel the policy since he was now five years old and no disasters had occurred. My “one more day” unfortunately came. Two weeks shy of his fifth birthday, I took my dog to the vet and he displayed symptoms of ITP (immune mediated thrombocytopenia). The cause was unknown. The initial treatment estimate was up to $5,000. I knew I had insurance so I approved the treatment. He did not respond to treatment and the next set of procedure costs made me hyperventilate. I called Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and spoke to the representative that stated, “If the process is FDA approved, we’ll support your vet. Please go back and be with your dog and don’t worry”. Healthy Paws Pet Insurance and their representative were there for my dog and me over the six-week battle that far exceeded the initial treatment estimate. My dog received state of the art treatment and I was reimbursed the 90% of my policy within 3-4 days of submitting the invoice. The vet hospital did their best but we ultimately had to put the dog to sleep. Healthy Paw Pet Insurance ensured that money was not a barrier to treatment. Healthy Paw Pet Insurance gave me one last walk around the lake with my best friend. I shared one last pizza crust with him, and I was there in the end. The employees at Healthy Paws sent a hand written sympathy card and stated they would help in any way they could. It’s not often you get to thank an insurance company. I will never forget the support they gave me during my dog’s health battle and will recommend them to everyone that will listen. Healthy Paws enabled me to “give anything” for one more day. I was able to say goodbye on my terms. Thank You to the men and women of Healthy Paws.

Great

I have had no problems with the ins company. The only things that I would say is that when my one cat died I had submitted the claim for his death and they still had him listed on my Pets. That was hard to see because it was such a sudden death and horrible death. Other than that I am happy that my furry loved ones are covered!
