Easy to work with!
I've had such an easy time working with Embrace. They're easy to get ahold of, & it's easy to submit a claim. The only reason it took over 3 weeks to process my claim was because I was missing paperwork. I got ahold of a very friendly Embrace employee named Peter & he was able to tell me exactly what paperwork I needed to submit. I easily uploaded the paperwork, saw that it cleared, & very shortly after saw that my claim was processed. Thanks for your help, Embrace!

Very Disappointed
I insured my kitten with PetsplusUs and am very disappointed. I will not be insuring my adult female cat with them. I will be going to Trupanion. My sister uses Trupanion. We both submitted claims to our respective insurance companies on the same day. She heard in less than a week her claim was to be covered and she had her money in about 10 days. It has been over three weeks for me and I have not heard anything from this company. My Visa is due and I have not seen a cent. I have also had them tell me TWICE that they have not received info from my vet...medical records and a claim. Once I would believe, twice...no. I believe it to be a delaying tactic.

Super easy claims process
My kitty got sick and had to be rushed to the vet, where he had to take some fluids, shots, have blood work done etc. I sent the claim right after I got the bill, and had absolutely no issues - all was paid as agreed (minus deductible), even the professional flea medication I forgot was part of his maintenance insurance, I was ready to have to pay for it so it was a pleasant surprise.

My vet recommended this insurance plan and I was not sure about whether to buy it or not. I did and it has been a pleasant experience and prompt payment of items covered. I didn't think we would need this insurance and it turned out we did and it has totally paid off. I have mentioned this company to my vet and the emergency vet to spread the word to other pet owners. I never write reviews but thought I would give a thumbs up to buy pet insurance from Embrace.

The process used to be quicker. I also believe in the past, and I could be wrong, that euthanasia was paid in full and not with a copay from a diagnosis.

Great Company to Deal With!
These guys are amazing! After a rather large vet bill for one of them, I began to research pet insurance for my 3 very active Aussies. Unlike several other companies i looked at, Healthy Paws spells coverage and exclusions out clearly on their site and sticks to what they promise. No surprises. I like the annual deductible as well. Within a month of purchase and qualification, one of my other dogs blew out her knee requiring surgery. Submitting her medical history and the claim was easy and payment was fast and as advertised. When she required another surgery less than a year later, submission online was even easier and the check came in a week! I give Healthy Paws my highest recommendation. No games, good coverage, super easy to work with, and quick payment. Above all, they do exactly what they promise!

I have been paying premiums for 6 years. Second claim I put in and second claim rejected. First claim was for dog needing soft tissue surgery. Dog has Addison's disease. Pre existing and this I understand and accept. The surgical wound was slow to heal due to incision being on joint (hip) with a lot of inflammation and infection needing to come out. Dog also ripped incision open and needed staples which further delayed healing. They blamed healing delay on addisons disease and rejected claim. The vet sent them letter disputing the claim stating that the surgical incision healing delay was NOT related to the Addison's disease and they did reimburse. Shouldn't have been needed though. Second claim was for ear infection so bad ear had to be flushed under general anesthesia. I opted to have the dogs teeth cleaned while under. The teeth cleaning is not covered which I understand and accept. The are refusing to reimburse the cost of 177 for the anesthetic and 73 for professional and nursing care. They claim these fees are vet and consult fees. Someone on the phone told me to get a letter from my vet stating what percentage of the anesthetic was related to ear flushing and what percentage was related to teeth cleaning??? This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. They also claim they do not raise premiums as dog ages yet they never forget to raise my annual premiums. This is the worst company. Please research before signing up with them.

Fantastic coverage and client care!
Not only has Healthy been timely and communicative with their reimbursements but they have gone so far as to follow up with me when my pooch has undergone more significant treatments. The vast majority of pet owners that I know who carry pet insurance have been less than satisfied with their provider so I feel like I have struck gold with Healthy Paws.
