Every claim processed to date has required an appeal. I purchased this insurance when I adopted a dog that was 6 months old from the shelter decided to put insurance on her as a security and reassurance. It's been far from either. As soon as I needed to use this unexpectedly it was a battle to get any claim paid out. Always an excuse for why they weren't covering the claim. Remember the puppy was 6 months & healthy when adopted from the OSPCA. We got insurance about 2 months after adopting her. Never wanting to use it and then the unthinkable happen and she fell ill. It just went downhill from there and dealing with Trupanion.

Best pet insurance on the market
My dog had surgery on his left leg last spring. The bill was $ 4,100 and we only had to pay 10%. We received a check for 90% within a week of filing the claim. My dog then needed the same surgery on his right leg this spring. The bill had gone up to $ 4,400 and again we received payment for 90% of that within a week of filing the claim. These people emailed me both times post surgery to find out how my dog was recovering.

I'm so happy I have insurance
My German Shepard boy Apollo just recently had to have a knee surgery. He is recovering really well. Hopefully in 8 more weeks he will be running and enjoying summer. I am so happy I have insurance for both of my dogs. I would have had to wait to do his surgery if I didn't. I am very impressed with Pets Plus Us for the way our claim has been handled. I sure wasn't expecting them to actually phone me and ask how Apollo is doing. Thank you for asking. I have recommended Pets Plus Us to many of my friends and clients as I'm a dog groomer.
