Helpful in a very stressful time

My normally rambunctious 15th month old shepherd mix was diagnosed with pneumonia within a few days of policy renewal. In his recheck visit it was discovered he had a bronchial infection. Between the hospital stay, medication and follow up visits, the costs really mounted up (over $2000). The *very* helpful Embrace staff answered all my questions and were able to ease my mind in a very stressful time. I am very happy with how the claims was handled and the efficiency of the customer support staff. There is no doubt that insurance can be costly and the premiums do go up every year. For me, however, the peace of mind knowing I will be able afford emergency care for my dog at the time I need it is worth the cost. I have added the premiums to my annual budget. A relative first suggested Embrace and I am so glad I overcame my initial hesitancy. I have Accident & Illness coverage at 90% as well as Prescription Drug coverage. In my case the cost of wellness coverage exceeds our standard outlay that it is not worth it. I highly recommend Embrace.

Health Paws Pet Insurance is the Best!

My 2 year old dog has been suffering with liquid filling into his lung cavities for about a year. He recently need expensive surgery and Health Paws made it affordable for my wife and me. They make it very easy to submit bills through their phone app and are always quick to pay claims. My wife and I are very grateful to Health Paws because they are not putting us through the "run around" that so many other insurance companies put you through. We can just focus on taking care of our dog and do not have to stress about paying for his vet bills. They even sent us a very nice note showing concern for our dog's condition. If you have a pet, I highly recommend that you get insurance though Healthy Paws Pet Insurance as it is best company to work with to cover your pet and they are always kind and caring every time I speak with them.

We LOVE Embrace!

We've had our insurance through Embrace for over 10 years and couldn't be happier or more grateful for it. It's easy to use and our claims are responded to SO FAST! I wish Embrace offered health insurance for humans because they've been so great to work with!

Not worth it

My dog was vomiting, so I took him into the vet. My veterinary office charges an emergency fee for emergency cases, even those seen during regular business hours. Healthy Paws refused this emergency fee, despite the website saying they cover emergency care and the exclusions not mentioning emergency fees. The customer service manager was dismissive, and kept calling my male dog "she". I don't feel like they care about myself or my dog, and I am canceling my policy. It isn't worth the monthly payments if they won't cover the bill when the time comes. I'm extremely disappointed.

Great Pet Insurance / Great Customer Service

We unfortunately had to put our almost 13 year old Wheaten Terrier down a few weeks ago. I contacted Pet Partners to let them know of this and the woman (Amy) that I spoke to was so incredibly compassionate. She immediately took care of what I was calling about and must have apologized 10 times for the loss of our pet. I'd highly recommend them!

Embrace Review for Gracie

I have Embrace Pet Insurance for my 9 year old Miniature Pincher, Gracie. She recently had to have surgery for a malignant mass in her leg. Embrace was fast, efficient, and helpful in fulfilling my claim for the expenses. They were also very caring and sympathetic to my plight and always inquired as to how Gracie was doing with her recovery. I would recommend Embrace to anyone who has a pet they love because it give me great peace of mind to know I have a reliable, personable company to help me give Gracie the best medical care possible.

A necessity for pet lovers, excellent coverage!

My cat Willie was an extraordinary friend and just basically a great cat and as he got older I realized that I wanted to be able to do everything in my power for him if there was some kind of crisis. Taking out pet insurance with Trupanion proved to be one of the best decisions I ever made. I hoped in taking out the policy that I'd never have to use it but just knowing that we were protected in case of accident or serious illness gave me peace of mind, and to me at least it was worth it for that part alone. But earlier this year Willie started having stomach problems, with vomiting, lack of appetite and lethargy. Bad signs. That propelled me (us) into a six-week descent that started with an emergency visit to a smaller pet clinic, repeated trips to my local vet for testing and medications, then finally rushing him to a top flight LA pet hospital for a range of very expensive tests and treatments. The cost began to build up; the costs of the pet hospital were far more than I ever anticipated, into four figures, and my cat friend was diagnosed with lymphoma. In some cases, those caught early I'd guess, this type of lymphoma can be treatable as a chronic condition in cats; we were not so lucky. Things got worse. After repeated visits to the hospital I finally chose to take him home for in-home euthanasia, a loving if heart-breaking decision. But the fact that I knew I had given Willie the best possible care and we had done everything for him allowed me to do that calmly, and provided enormous peace of mind. After the $1000 deductible, Trupanion paid all the claims in a timely and very professional way, and it was a lot. The biggest challenge, which seemed reasonable to me, was their checking to be sure that all the claims were for the same illness as the claims had different titles as he got diagnosed (other companies tend to tabulate the deductible by calendar year, Trupanion does it by condition). The illness of a beloved pet is devastating, the stress of how to treat him is enormous. But knowing that I didn't have to choose between my own financial stability and my friend's potentially life-saving treatment let me get through it with my sanity intact. And let me focus on what was best for Willie. If you have many pets, perhaps pet insurance isn't for you. But if you are close to your pet, if you see the relationship as a commitment, and lifelong friendship, pet insurance allows you to plan ahead. Because I have only moderate income I knew I wanted i
