Fanrastic
I have a 7 year-old playful pitbull called Sammy. A few weeks back she tore her back ACL and became totally lame. I took her to our local vet who, after taking X-rays and performing the "drawer test" on her referred us to a surgery center. I knew the cost was not going to be cheap but I also felt very reassured knowing My Healthy Paws insurance would cover 80%. Healthy Paws allowed me to focus on Sammy and not the financial burden it would have caused otherwise. I am so thankful to everyone at Healthy Paws and would (and have) referred friends. Healthy Paws is so easy when submitting claims. All you do is download their app, take a pic of your receipt, and submit. Quite simple! I highly recommend Healthy Paws to any pet owner out there. Plus, Healthy Paws also works hard on getting homeless animals adopted. 🐶🐶🐶

I was shocked to learn how much it will …
I was shocked to learn how much it will take to diagnose Ponyo when she experienced seizures, but was also fortunate that I enrolled Ponyo with Healthy Paws earlier this year. When I called Healthy Paws, the representative comforted met and informed me that MRI, Cat Scan, Blood Test, and many other tests required to diagnose the causes of the seizures would be covered. No hard decision needed to be made, but a straightforward “yes” to the vet. The claim procedures were also simple and prompt. I will recommend Healthy Paws to anyone who has a furry family.

Stay away if you have rescue
******DO NOT go to them if you have rescue animals!!!!******** Originally I got an email from them upon claim submission that they need all medical record AFTER, let me repeat, AFTER my dog joined our family. I even called and made sure I have nothing else missing. My dog is a rescue we adopted him 6 months ago. The first occasion to a vet was a month ago with the symptom on the claim. Now they sent me this on email: "A pet....ON THE DATE OF ENROLLMENT must have undergone a COMPLETE clinical examination. " If I can't provide this, "any signs and symptoms noted (in claims submitted) would NOT be eligible for coverage." because they will consider those as pre-existing condition. Luckily, I can provide since the dog was an owner surrender. and I know which vet they used. But most dogs at rescue or shelters don't have any medical records. **********DO NOT use this insurance for rescue animals!!!!!!!!*********

Disappointed
I read the policy very closely about pre-existing condition and exceptions related to skin masses. My dod has had a skin mass for years and no symptoms at all but because of the size not the Vet would like to narrow down the extent of the issue. The is therefore not a pre-existing condition because the mass has not been diagnosed, no symptoms have resulted, and information regarding my understanding was confirmed by a customer service person, My Vet and the pre-certification actually outlines this very thing but yet my claim was fully denied. A skin mass that needs removed to determine status (benign or malignant) should be a covered service. I could see if if was found to be cancer because I would not expect any treatment to be covered but a diagnostic procedure??? Come on... really.. not support alt all. What do I have this service for. If this is not corrected I will leave this company all together.
