I originally got insurance for our cats because they were frequently outdoors and at risk of injury.
I originally got insurance for our cats because they were frequently outdoors and at risk of injury. We recently built them an enclosure to keep them safe and I was literally just about to cancel insurance, thinking there was no longer any need. Last week, our 8 year old 'kitten' fell suddenly ill and we had no idea why. After three trips to the ER, and one trip to her regular doctor, she passed away while awaiting what would have been a nearly $5000.00 battery of tests at a specialist clinic to try and determine if there was a chance to treat what ever it was. If anyone were to ask me if insurance is worth the cost, even if there is little risk involved, I would say yes, there is no doubt. Thank you Trupanion for being there and being willing to step up, no questions asked, even though we were not able to save our precious baby.
