Pet Insurance necessary for peace of mind if pets get sick.
We have had Nationwide (previously VPI) for many years, we have all of our pets insured, its gets more expensive as they get older as is to expected I suppose. However it is definitely something we wouldn't want to be without & have recommended it to family & friends. The claim processing takes about 2 weeks, so not to bad & there are several plans to choose from.

Hassle-Free Claims with Excellent Customer Service
Thanks to Healthy Paws, we were able to get our dachshund admitted to the hospital for emergency treatment and ivdd surgery without a hassle. There is nothing more stressful or heartbreaking than to be given just two choices from a surgeon: life-saving surgery (if you can afford it) or euthanasia (if you don't have $$$ or insurance). Having much-needed pet insurance allowed us to focus on caring for our dog and to get him the best medical care possible.

It’s a scam
Do not get this pet insurance, it’s a waste of money. What I didn’t realize and what they didn’t make clear to me is that you have to meet a deductible for EVERY new condition. I spent 900$ on my dog thinking they would start paying for something after that, NOPE. They denied my claims and then explained after the fact that no, you have to meet a deductible for every sick issue you claim. I canceled immediately after finding this out. Good thing I only paid for it for 5 months, I would have wasted a lot of money if I had found this years down the road.

Great Insurance
Thank goodness I had the forethought to get this insurance when my cat was a kitten. He was diagnosed with EPI recently and the insurance has paid towards every claim thus far. However, someone does call from customer service to check on your pet’s progress when several claims are submitted. This is nice, however, one woman in particular could use training in her phone presentation.

Can’t say enough good things about this insurance. So easy to submit a claim using the app and I kid you not they are finalized and paid in a matter of days. My dog has been sick with many claims lately and they are paid with no problems.

I can't imagine a better pet insurance company.
This is my second review for Embrace, regarding claims service for my nine year old cattle collie cross. I had insured him barely over a year when he began limping. At first the vet thought it was just arthritis, for which he began expensive, monthly injections of adequan; but we eventually discovered a torn cranial crucial ligament (CCL), with TPLO surgery recommended as the most beneficial option. Throughout the entire process and not during rehab, the staff at Embrace have been efficient, polite, respectful, responsive, and sympathetic. I receive prompt confirmation with each claim they receive, followed about a week later by a determination, which has always been that the claim has been covered, including the continuing adequan injections. In this era of substandard customer service, it is reassuring to find a company that demonstrates exceptional customer service through its actions, rather than by disingenuous platitudes.
