Don't believe the claims about Premium increases
Don't believe the marketing claims that they dont raise premiums because of age or claims. I've had Trupanion for nearly 13 years on the same dog and my initial premiums were less than $40/month. The premiums increased every year and last year were $99 a month. There have been very few claims over the past 13 years with payout of less than $2000. In 2018 there were more clams than usual with payouts of about $700. This year my premiums jumped from $99 a month to $150 a month, more than a 50% increase. My vets rates didn't increase any and my pet is not on routine maintenance medications. So why the increase? Only real reason, despite the marketing hype, is my dog is now 13 and had a few caims last year non that were significant and nothing chronic.

Once I figured out how to submit bills - and how the web site worked (very easy) It was very efficient to submit bills and track claims. Reimbursements were fast - surprisingly so. Wish I had bought the insurance earlier.

We've been very happy with ASPCA
We've been very happy with ASPCA per insurance for our dog. The website is easy to use and reimbursements are generally payed and paid out quickly. We did have a pretty major very bill at one point and it took closer to two months to process the claim, which was a bit of a long wait and meant that we had to pay the vet bill out of pocket and hope for reimbursement. The other thing that's been a little bit annoying is that we added the preventative package to ease the sting of puppy vaccines, but found that the $50 and $25 stipends for various vaccines barely covered one round, not to mention three. I wouldn't necessarily recommend that plan for a new puppy owner but it's probably fine for annual boosters. On the whole, happy, but have had a few things we wished were different.
