Very good service
Very quick to respond to claims. If they are slower than normal, they will email you why. So far my experiences with them have been very positive.

Timely and courteous
I finds Pet's Best to provide timely service and excellent communication. My claims are processed promptly and I receive communication when they are being processed and completed or slightly delayed. I highly recommend this company.

Worst customer service I've e4ver received from Nationwide
on 8/6/19 called and spoke to a customer service agent named "Michelle" who couldn't have been more rude and uncompassionate. My Furry child, "Princess" is 5 and she rescued me after I lost my 14 y/o long hair GSD who I insured w/Nationwide when she was 18 months old. Princess was in a quick kill shelter in Tx when she was rescued by Give A Dog a Home German Shepherd Rescue in Sebec, Maine. Imagine the feeling Princess must have had in Tx, given how intuitive the breed is, then to ME which is a different climate etc.- So she had some diarrhea, that wouLd be almost expected wouldn't it? No- Not for Nationwide because after Princess had an encounter with a porcupine WHICH REQUIRED HER TO BE SEDATED WHICH IN ITSELF MAY CAUSE DIARRHEA, which I took her to the emergency room for you said she had gastroenteritis as well as a dermatitis- SHE HAS NEITHER OF THESE!!!!! on 8/9, I took Princess to her regular vet and have sent the doctor notes as well ( FYI- No indication of any of the issues you've said are pre-existing) a review request form and asked that I receive a conformation that the documents were received- OF COURSE I'VE RECEIVED NOTHING. If all the exceptions on the policy are not removed I won't be renewing my policy and I'll go to Embrace, a company who even rewards veterans for their service in the form a of a lower cost for pet insurance w/ equivalent or better coverage if you're a USAA member- which I am and have been for over 4 decades now. Nationwide has lost its way

I am so glad I bought this pet insurance!
Didn't think we needed pet insurance since our Macy was a mixed breed. Turns out getting comprehensive coverage for Macy was the best decision ever! Coming from a rescue we were taking our chances on her overall health issues, and believe me, she has had some issues. Nationwide Pet insurance has really helped with the expense of taking care of our puppy's issues and has done away with the added stress of having to choose between her medical care and our budget. Thank you Nationwide!

Learning pet insurance
Learning the ropes of pet insurance. Had 20 years work experience doing mental health billing. This is a new world. Filing pet claims manually by mail, finally got online web access, as I’m on the smartphone most of the time. Nationwide has processed claims VERY timely, paid well on well visit part of insurance, EOB’s explained clearly what is deductible on other claims.

Great service, confusing app
I have been impressed with how quickly claims are reviewed and paid out. I have to critique the app: Figuring out how to submit a claim the first time was very confusing. I work in software development and I could barely figure out the app - I would hate to think how it would have gone if it were someone else less tech-savvy trying to do it. Also, I'm not a fan of having to click a link in an email and go to a page to accept a payment when a claim has been processed. To me, it's just an extra step that I have to go through and an opportunity for me to miss the email and not get the money I'm owed.

I’m really not impressed with my claim process. My chihuahua recently had major surgery for his ACL and patella and it was not cheap. I’m still waiting and fighting to get reimbursed the over $2500 surgical procedure it cost to save his life.
