Hartville to the rescue!
We are long term clients and very glad we are. About 15 years ago we joined up our first boxer. They served him well, so naturally our second boxer Toddy, a rescue, became a client as well. Hartville has always had our back and when Toddy got sick and found to have IBD, they covered our expenses. At the same time, Toddy was found to have a mast cell tumor and had to undergo yet another procedure. Once the smoke cleared and we submitted our claims, we were reimbursed quickly. They did everything quickly and seamlessly. There are all kinds of new companies opening every day, but we will stick with the best!

Trupanion let's you never waste a minute worrying how you will pay
Just recommended you to 2 other dog owners today. I knew when I decided to adopt Thor, from hearing stories that people who owned big dogs told, that my dog might one day need hip or knee surgery one day and it could cost thousands of dollars, that I could only adopt him if I could get him health insurance. I didn't think I would need it so soon, but you were able to approve the coverage before my dog underwent his surgery, so from the day I took him in I could focus on his care and comfort without having to worry about if I could afford it. I have told everyone I know with a dog about my dog's insurance coverage. THANK YOU.

Get with the program!
Routine checkups covered but after you hit $500 deductible first and any claims made become preexisting the following year. I wish you didn’t make it so hard or write off our fur babies after we pay our insurance dues. If preexisting no longer exists for people, why does it still for our pets?
