Does what the policy says, but very slowly with almost no feedback
I made my first claim for a wellness visit. I filed the claim thru the VitusVet app on my smartphone. It took a couple of days to get an acknowledgement that the claim was received and about the full month until I received notice that the claim was processed. The claims process could be improved with more feedback and faster claims review and processing.

Everything concerning Natiowide Pet Insurance is straight forward and simple.
Customer service concerning Nationwide has been spot on. Every claim I have submitted was processed without issue, the Vitus Vet app is straightforward and simple to use when submitting claims. Status updates concerning claims submitted are helpful as well. I have nothing bad to say about Nationwide Pet Insurance, I was referred to this company by a co-worker and have no regrets concerning the decision.

We love Healthy Paws
We got a puppy from a reputable breeder 2 years ago, who has subsequently had 2 bowl obstructions and a broken leg, in addition to a recently diagnosed liver condition (all that in 2 years). I have been SOOO thankful for the Healthy Paws pet insurance that we purchased when we first got her. Without it, we definitely would have needed to put her down. The surgeries have totaled about $16,000 in 2 years, and Healthy Paws has never balked or let me down. With all of the care that our dog has received this year, I was nervous that they would hike my monthly rate up , but it only increased by $4.00 a month. Amazing! The plan is easy to work with (I put the bills on my credit card, and then take a picture of the itemized invoice and upload it to the Healthy Paws app). They have always paid me before my credit card bill is due. THANK YOU HEALTHY PAWS!!!! You guys are the BEST.

Keep them healthy!
Tinker and Bucky were rescued almost 9 years ago. The past 4 years have been many vet visits and medications. We have been VPI and Nationwide customers for many years prior to their arrival in our home. In fact their policies are coming up for renewal next month at a substantial increase. I understand the need is greater as they get older justifying the increase, however the MAX for the services does not increase. We seem to always "max" out for services! Nationwide does help to an extent, there is still food and medication that is not covered. We did have a few issues a little over a year ago with Tinker's diagnosis of an FCE and her Rehabilitation plan. Most of that has worked out but Nationwide does not cover rehab for an illness? Customer service is helpful when "renewing" your policy but seem annoyed when you call with questions about a statement of benefits question. In the end Nationwide has proven to be a reputable vet insurance company.

I rarely write reviews but I am so impressed with Nationwide. Your helpful, friendly service, quick response and ease of application make me wish I could have Nationwide insurance for myself too. I also appreciate that I can call and talk to a representative instead of everything done online!
