Got this insurance for my Husky, along with the hereditary plus add-on… As I was worried, just in case, if I had to deal with hip dysplasia or something similar. Long story short, months later I found out my dog had luxating patellas. He had dual knee surgery and a total bill of over $6,000. Sent in my receipts and within 2 weeks I had a check for the promised coverage of my plan, no questions asked. I was really impressed that the process was as easy as it was. I highly recommend AKC pet insurance… You hope you never have to use it, but it’s a small price to pay for a peace of mind that if you ever find yourself with significant vet bills, you are protected.

The best decision I made was to get pet insurance for my pets.
I have been nothing but pleased with Nationwide for my pets and they are both senior dogs. The filing of a claim is effortless and NW promptly processes each claim I submit. I have Irish Wolfhounds since the 70’s And have had to deal with bone cancer with the help of NW. we take the good with the bad. NW helps with both. Wellness care and those bad things that come up. I will not own a dog without Insurance. It’s part of being a responsible owner.
