Smooth and Efficient Processing

ASPCA insurance made it easy to file my claim and they processed the claim in a very efficient and speedy way. Very helpful along the way as well. I highly recommend them.

Trupanion made our choice simple

Our Corgi - Dachshund, Archer, was walking funny one night and the next barely moving and shaking and whining in pain. I had no idea what happened. I tearfully took him to an emergency vet who referred me to a neurologist. We found that Archer had a herniated disc in his back, a common dachshund issue. However, his was pretty severe as he had lost deep pain response to his tail and potentially lost control of his bladder. The team of Veterinarians caring for him were great, but we’re 50/50 on if Archer would be able to use the bathroom on his own or wag his tail again. We were so stressed and scared. The surgery and care was estimated at over $10,000 and we might have a semi handicapped dog. It was an overwhelming! When we said we had Trupanion, each Vet we saw relaxed and told us that they were great and usually covered these things. We were relieved of a bulk of the financial strain because our surgical office agreed to do direct pay with Trupanion. As it turns out, a little less than a week after surgery, Archer has regained full mobility of legs, tail and bladder function. This was our first claim after having Trupanion for two years. There was someone to answer questions 24 hours a day and they paid 90% of our bills. We paid the deductible, exam fees, taxes and 2 fees for laser therapy. I can not recommend people have Trupanion enough. It’s much easier to budget an insurance bill monthly than plan for a $10,000 bill to pop up over the weekend. Thank you Trupanion (and my husband who insisted we insure everything important to us) for making our emergency health issue for Archer more about his care and less about finances.

Super easy process with a quick response and great turnaround getting Check.

Rex is doing great. This was an expensive procedure and Nationwide eased my stress by providing an easy claim process. I received a quick response/approval on my claim. The check was received in a very timely manner. This allowed me to concentrate on getting Rex healthy again.

They don’t care about your pet like they claim.

My dog hit his 30 day waiting and we filed a claim and they rejected because they claim he was still in his waiting period. Oh did they mention in the disclaimer or waiting period section that it’s based on the time of enrollment or approval nope not listed that way. List as 30 day illness waiting period. Our puppy yes puppy needs more medical test and possible surgery and they are now labeling our puppy with a preexisting condition. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Worth the $

90% reimbursement after meeting the $250 deductible for the year is great! No hassle when it comes to making claims.
