Insurance is for when you need it - Nationwide comes through and supports those horrible moments
No one wants to have to worry about do I or don't I treat my pets most critical illness. While small routine care can be postponed, the life or death, critical illness is urgent. I never want to make my financial health more important than my pets health. Pet insurance in my opinion is prepaid budgeting for those times when you most need it. It's pet owners pooling their budget to spread out coverage. Owning an animal costs include food and healthcare. When I look back over the 20 years I have had pet insurance I realize the insurance provided life saving support for loyal companions. I didn't make money, I didn't lose money. Carefully selecting our pet insurance has given us the peace of mind. Most recently, our dog was bleeding while going to the bathroom and while sitting. Waiting saw the condition continue and our vet redirected us to an emergency facility. The cost for care estimate was substantial - around $1400 and a shock. Having Nationwide Pet Insurance let us proceed with care without financial worry. Our deductible and copayment amount was affordable. After our dog was treated and recovered our claim for reimbursement from Nationwide came through easily using VitusVet. VERY HAPPY WITH NATIONWIDE ....SO GLAD WE HAVE PET INSURANCE ...
I have been a customer with Nationwide for many years .... claims are easy to submit ...if I have to call with a question, a friendly voice is always there. A year ago my dog who was only between 2-3 yrs old, all of a sudden could not put weight on one of his back legs. He needed knee surgery. It was very traumatic and scary for us. Nationwide was there for us and they processed our claim quickly with no hassle .... he needed laser treatments on his knee to promote healing and again no hassle. It has been a year and Milo is doing great -running around !! Thank you Nationwide.

Great service and easy to use!
We use nationwide for our Lab, Bear. We wanted to be prepared since Labs have a reputation of chewy everything. We’ve been lucky enough that nothing serious has happened. Of the claims we have submitted, nationwide has been extremely easy to use and has a fast turnaround for reimbursements.

Literal Life Saver
Most clinics connect automatically, and there are apps (along with their website) that make submitting claims online a breeze! Pet sickness, especially young puppy sickness is one of the scariest family experiences there is. Having a good insurance company behind you brings relief during sick times and one less major thing to worry about during even healthy times (and coverage for care during healthy, routine times are awesome as well).
