We recommend Trupanion pet insurance.
The Trupanion claim process is straight forward with a very fast turn around time. I like that I can submit the claim online and Trupanion directly deposits into our bank. Our dog has been insured for 10 years since he was a puppy and it was one of the best decisions I made.

Claim status was still open and agent assured me that within days it should be approved. As he promised claim has be approved. Also while on the phone with agent he asked how our pet was feeling, that was very nice !

I am quite unhappy with Trupanion .
I am quite unhappy with Trupanion . My premiums have increased almost $9 per month. It is very discouraging to having increases by such an amount especially when I am on a fixed income have already increased the deductible to $ 500.

I was not aware that Trupanion did not contribute to the HST paid on services.
I was not aware that Trupanion did not contribute to the HST paid on services. So in reality, you only pay for 77% of services, not 90%, and the pet owner is responsible for 10% the full 13% HST which is not insignificant.
