Nationwide is on Milo’s side.
I am so glad that Nationwide has been there for our expenses with Milo. He has a tendency to get ear infections and has allergies. The premium is covered just by the return we get on his medications. Fast easy claim processing and we receive the money quickly into our account. Staff is very knowledgeable and pleasant.

I’m very happy with the coverage, but the claims process could use a little work.
I purchased the total health plan with wellness when my little dog was a tiny puppy. Everything listed as covered has been paid promptly. The only issue I have is the electronic claims form pdf. It really doesn’t save much time because although you can fill out the form electronically, you cannot sign the form electronically. You still have to print it, sign it, then scan it back in before you can email it.

Slow response on claims and not covering meds without an exact diagnosis
Would not cover meds (gabapentin) because there was no diagnosis. The diagnosis was a visit to the vet who examined the dog and found that there may be nerve damage but could not confirm without MRI and to wait to see if lameness subsided before proceeding. That, to me, is a diagnosis. Also, we do not get responses to our claims for months. I would change insurance companies but am now stuck with Pets Best because this will be a preexisting condition if I choose another insurance company.

I WILL always be grateful for the repayment of the expenses for the hip replacements and all the follow up therapy required for her continued suffering - most most most grateful - as we struggle thru her recovery and dealing with her “handicap” we are sooooo grateful that we didn’t have to deal with and challenges dealing with the insurance payments
