TRASH!!!! ASPCA is separate from Crumb and Forrester (the real owners of this pet insurance company). I enrolled before experiencing any issues with my pet. Lucky thing because I am having the HARDEST time getting in contact with ANYONE there! What if I had an emergency? For anyone who does not want to waste their time or monies, DO NOT USE THIS PET INSURANCE COMPANY! And if you choose to use it, good luck (you are going to need it)! **Update** I finally received a call from them on 15 Jul 2020. Representative apologized stating they were extremely busy.

This is why we got pet insurance
We had debated getting pet insurance in advance of picking up our new mini Poodle puppy Nellie. After much research and weighing the pros and cons, we selected Healthy Paws. When she was 11 1/2 weeks old, she broke one of her rear legs which required surgery to set it. The surgery was an absolute success, but the over $4,000 cost was a shock. I submitted our claim not really knowing what to expect. Within a couple of days I was notified that they needed our pup’s full medical history and notified again two days later that they’d received it. 10 days later I received an email telling us the claim had been accepted and we’d be receiving a check shortly. Nellie has recovered beautifully and our experience with Healthy Paws couldn’t have been better. Thank you!

I have always been happy with Nationwide.
I have always been pleased with how Nationwide has handled my claims. When our puppies go to their new homes, I always include a pamphlet from Nationwide Insurance for the new owners can enroll their puppies.

Great experience so far
My dog Oliver was sick and vomiting, I tried calling the on call vet thru the insurance for the first time as I was unaware that was available, great thing by the way. The vet was very helpful and patient and determined just to be in the safe side to go to have him checked out. I appreciated having someone on the phone to run the situation with by and help me make a decision on wether to go or not to the vet. thanks so much
