Becoming too expensive
There are so many things I love about Trupanion, their empathy, customer service, efficiency, real people work there and answer the phone. However, one major caveat............I have been a customer for years and the rates have increased to a level, that it is not worth the monthly cost. In doing the math, with my boxers who live ~ 10 years, I will have paid more for their insurance than the cost of even extreme care (eg: cancer, surgeries etc.) That is leading me to have to make a difficult decision. Luckily, I am able to "pay as I go."

FYI Folks....
FYI Folks.... If you have a complaint against this or ANY pet insurance company. You can do 2 things, file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau AND file a complaint with your states DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE! They are the ones who regulate insurance companies. That includes pet insurance.

Worth Every Penny!
After hours of researching and comparing various pet insurance options, I made the decision to go with Spot for our dogo argentino rescue puppy. This is the first time I’ve ever purchased pet insurance, and I’ve had dogs all my life. After a year, I can confidently say that Spot is absolutely worth the investment! Over the past year, we had to make multiple visits to the emergency vet, and it turned out that our sweet girl has severe food allergies. Without Spot, we wouldn’t have been able to afford the cost and care that our puppy required. I am incredibly grateful for this service and wholeheartedly recommend Spot to anyone who has a pet, especially a puppy! They have been incredibly quick to process my claims and respond whenever I have questions. Honestly, in today’s world, I didn’t think companies like this existed anymore.
