Easy and surprising
This is the second dog we've owned and decided not to get pet insurance with our first fur ball. He suffered with seizures for most of his life so insurance would have been beneficial. When we got our bernedoodle puppy 10 months ago, we decided it was the right decision. Our dood contracted eColi, we have no idea how, but Nationwide covered all our expenses related to treatment, medical and multiple lab tests. The insurance has paid for itself and then some! We won't go with out it ever again! Thank you!

I was skeptical of pet insurance but have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of Healthy Paws' customer service and ease in filing claims for my border collie. The customer service representatives whom I've contacted by phone have answered my questions clearly and patiently and with good cheer, and I've appreciated the follow-up emails asking how my dog was doing post operation. Filing a claim once you log in takes a minute or less (download the invoice you receive from your vet) and Healthy Paws notifies you via email of the claim's progress through their system. The process is clean and simple. If I had one request, it would be to reduce the monthly premiums, but Healthy Paws' prices are similar to a number of other carriers, and I'd rather pay for the quality than save a few dollars. I tend to be a tough grader, but Healthy Paws deserves top scores. The policy for my dog has provided excellent value.
