Great customer service
I signed up with healthypaws when I first brought my GSD puppy, Simba, home (first ever pet). After much contemplation and research I decided to purchase insurance with them and I'm glad I did. Healthypaws customer support has always been top notch providing detailed explanation to all my questions in friendly manner. Their claims process is extremely easy and always fair. Highly recommended for any pet owners.

Nothing is ever covered
This is the 4th time that I have gone to the vet and have had nothing covered. AKC pet insurance is a fraud. They tell you everytime that you call that you need to add something to the policy and never just tell you what you should get in the first place. I have no idea why I have been paying them money for the past year. My brother has had the same exact issues and I feel bad because I was the one that referred him to AKC. Do not use them

HORRIBLE - scam!
They denied a completely legitimate claim for my dog purely because she had been injured before. It was a similar injury but completely new and I only claimed that injury that was within the parameters of the insurance. I appealed it and they still denied it. Do not use them.

They raise your price every year!
They raise your price every year as your dog gets older. They say they dont do it but they do! They tell you its because of other reasons of.where you live and the breed but no matter what they keep raising it.

Whenever my baby is sick, I feel so covered. My previous plan had always increased premium every year but Nationwide keeps same rate. Very easy to claim and covers everything. Thanks Nationwide Pet Insurance!
