Best Pet Insurance Out There
I've had Healthy Paws insurance for my three Cocker Spaniels for over four years. They are all seniors. One of my dogs had ACL surgery on both legs when he was younger and Healthy Paws covered the expensive surgery thankfully. The same little guy has now been diagnosed with cancer four years later and they are paying for the lion's share of the expenses as we go. The claims process couldn't be easier. The checks come in a very timely manner. And when I have talked with customer service people on the phone they are people who have been selected for their ability to convey empathy because they are also pet people and they get it. This is a great company.

Be prepared for high rate increases for no apparent reason
We've had Healthy Paws coverage for the last 10 months for our 1 year old lab. During that time our dog has been healthy and we have received no benefits from the coverage. Healthy Paws just sent us an email for our policy renewal. They are raising the premium 29%. That's outrageous, and let me repeat that we never received any money from them. It's not like they were losing money on us. Seems they offer a lower price for new business and then jack it up on year 2.

A Light in Our Darkest Moment
After finding out that our gsp needed emergency abdominal surgery, our hearts were breaking for him and on top of that, the inevitable stress and panic of how we were going to pay the bill sank in. Within the same hour that I contacted HealthyPaws about coordinating with my vet to cover their portion of the bill up front instead of me paying out of pocket first, they called my vet and set everything up. I didn't have to do a thing. The next day, we picked up our sweet boy. I had never been so excited to see a vet bill like I was that morning. We only owed our 10%- everything else was paid already. I cannot thank HealthyPaws enough for the coordination and rapid response that they had in helping us take care of this. Knowing that we did not have to stress about the bill or how we were going to pay it made us able to just focus on Murphy and making sure he was going to be okay. Everyone acted so quickly- they were all on the same page and it was just fantastic.

Great insurance company
Great insurance company. Kept me updated throughout my claims process and reached out to my vet directly instead of asking me to do it. Highly recommend!

Cheap for Reason
Cheap for Reason. These people deny everything, claiming pre-existing conditions. I recommend Pet Plan - I have my other pets on PetPlan and they are fantastic. Our vet made notes 9 months ago on our puppy that we were not aware of. Based on this Trupanino denied the claims. Our puppy died and now we are also out $3K. (not to be petty)

Pleasant experience
I have had my pets insured with the ASPCA for a few years. I have not had any problems getting my claims paid. When I have called with questions, I have gotten helpful responses by friendly customer service reps. They even sent me a card after I lost my Salem.

AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!
Complete SCAM! I was only with this place for 3 months and it was an absolute nightmare. My dog had a UTI last year and received treatment for it. She then got an allergic reaction to some food she was on and was given a steroid. This induced another UTI and was given medication and well as a powder to prevent diarrhea. I spent over $600 in this time frame and was ONLY reimbursed for $133. First I had called to see why the claim was taking SO long and they had told me they needed more information, which I wasn't aware of because I received no call whatsoever( This could have sped up the process by weeks). I spoke to multiple people and every time I spoke to them it was a different story. I am so disgusted by the way this place runs their business. They will not cover the UTI and other medication because she has had one UTI before and won't cover the diarrhea meds because the food she was on was giving her a bit of constipation, so this was ruled as a gastrointestinal issue that was pre existing.. SHE DOES NOT HAVE A CHRONIC UTI ISSUE. IT WAS ONLY BECAUSE OF THE MEDICATION SHE WAS ON!!! I gave this place the benefit of the doubt despite the HUNDREDS of bad reviews on them and I was of course, led to disappointment. I will/would never recommend this place to anyone EVER! Please save your money and DO NOT GET INSURANCE THROUGH HERE. THERE ARE MANY MANY MANY MANY LOOPHOLES!!!
