Healthy Paws Insurance brought a peace of mind when Kiwi needed care and surgery.
Our sweet little Kiwi ate something she shouldn't have....again! Because we had seen something similar in the past, we weren't surprised when our dog ended up in surgery to have a full glove removed from her intestine. Because we had dealt with a claim with Healthy Paws before, there wasn't the stress of how it would all work, would they really cover it... We could concentrate on our dog and her recovery, knowing Healthy Paws had us covered. The website and submittal process is extremely easy. And they have always completed the process in less than the "10" days they ask for. We have always received the checks before we had to make payment on the credit card bill. All of this is such a peace of mind when taking care of your dogs health and recovery can be extremely overwhelming.

Poor. I'm told to provide information on the prepaid wellness plan thru my vet and then I get a denial cuzz I prepaid it prior to effect date of insurance. Claim ppl don't get how the real world works and sales staff have little integrity. Not my job to keep your ppl educated on how this works. Then you discount and don't reimbure me for what I paid for my dogs wellness meds and physical. You waste my time!! Not happy!!

I have to admit, my experience these 6 or 7 yrs. with Trupanion has been positive. Once you understand how Pet Insurance works, as while as about pre-existing injuries etc. I haven't had many claims; but the ones I have had Trupanion has made it more comfortable to get your pet the attention she deserve. I would recommend Trupanion to anyone who can afford it ; but I would be lying if I didn't admit the dramatic rise in cost from year to year is alarming. Sometimes $25 in one year increase. Which is the only reason for the 8 score. I'm told it's breed Specific, in any case, I want the best care I can get for my dog. Trupanion has given me that. Thanks
