I have used this insurance for years and have been so pleased with the service I have been given. I do recommend trupanion to so many people because of the many many bills they have paid for my three dogs. Everyone that I have ever talked to have been so friendly and helpful. Great customer service and invoices paid within a reasonable time. Great company!!!

One of the first questions I ask a new dog owner is do you have pet insurance, if not you should! I then tell them about Trupanion and how it was one of the best investments I ever made in regards to my dog.

Specialists for diagnosis not covered!
Part of my claim was not covered, which was disappointing. My dog has a new health issue. We went to the ER (which was covered), but at the ER, I was told to followup with a neurologist to help figure out a diagnosis. I did that, but the neurology visit was not covered. I understand that vet exams are not typically covered, but I also understand that items related to getting a diagnosis and treatment ARE covered. So how is an exam by a specialist - which was needed to MAKE the diagnosis - not covered??? It does not make sense to me. I would likely not recommend Trupanion to a friend because of this technicality.
