Having been a first time dog owner I…

Having been a first time dog owner I purchased a Healthy Paws policy for my puppy. Well at 2 years old he developed epilepsy :( As difficult and heartbreaking as the diagnosis was, I was so grateful to have a Healthy Paws policy. This company is amazing! There is no yearly cap on reimbursement, the customer service is so helpful and the claims are processed quickly! I highly recommend Healthy Paws to any pet owner I know! Unfortunately the unexpected happens with our fur babies but having this policy allows my boy to have the best medical care possible!

Total disappointment.

Your claim approval is dishonest!! You are only paying 35% of the vet costs. You have disallowed 65% of my claim. You do not hesitate to continue raising premiums (I am now paying more than 1200.00 per year) but when it comes to legitimate claims you refuse to pay out. You ask if I would recommend this company. I assure you that I will do all in my power to discourage anyone considering Trupanion. It will not be difficult to convince anyone considering Trupanion once I show them that you only pay off 35% on claims. I will be posting my thoughts on any social media that I can.

100% Worth it

We’ve had healthy paws since we got our dog almost 5 years ago. It’s helped us so much and we never have to worry about if we will be strapped for cash and can give our dog the care he needs when he needs it.

HealthyPaws is life saving

Healthy paws has saved our lives when it comes to providing care for our dog. Milo has gotten sick a couple of times and has allergies that require expensive fixes and healthy paws makes it possible for him to receive all that, and we don’t have to worry about finances while he gets the best care

Best Pet Insurance!!

I did a lot of research on pet insurance before deciding on Embrace. I recommend it to everyone! You couldn't find better and more cheerful customer service. They provide lots of different options for coverage. You can create your own plan. I have 3 cats and each has a different plan. Our older cat, for example, has no diseases or any signs of poor health. But adopting a kitten from a rescue shelter, you just never know, so I got more insurance for him.

I really wanted to use Healthy Paws…BUT breed discrimination?????

I really wanted to use Healthy Paws coverage but I got a quote for $75 on a healthy 2 year old pit bull. I asked on the chat why it was so high since I was getting $45 quotes from other insurance agencies. I was told it was based on where I lived. I went ahead and put in my other dog - who is a pit but I put in mixed breed she is 4. I got a $53 quote for the same zip code and for a dog that is 2 years older than the dog I requested a quote for the first time. It leads me to believe that the $75 quote was due to his breed and not where we live.

Claim processing time is not as advertized

We decided to go with Spot based on the reviews we read and the advertised quick claim processing that stated 48-72 hrs. We adopted a new aussie puppy and we went with both the pet insurance and the wellness plan. I submitted all the paperwork we received from the breeders vet and then took the puppy to the vet after signing up. It was a first vet visit for us so the usual (exam, shots etc). The total cost was $213. I submitted all the paperwork to SPOT and got an instant message saying that due to high volume of claims at this time yadda yadda it could take longer than expected etc. Ok that's fine but keep in mind this is not what they advertised and is not what I would think anyone would consider quick claims. It has now been 8 working days and there has been no status change on my account. Just says processing... Banfield may not have been perfect but at least the discounts for wellness was immediate, taken off the cost at the time you paid not reimbursed like this. I will update my review if and when it pays but so far the experience hasn't met the standards I was expecting based on the reviews.
