A few years back, I lost one of my kitties to kidney disease. It made me realize how much good veterinary care is out there today, but also how expensive it can be. I know that I could never make a treatment decision based on cost, so I decided to look for a plan that would cover the big stuff. My cats now have a high deductible plan that covers up to $10,000 in treatment. Because they have $1000 deductible, the premium is quite reasonable. I cover the routine stuff out of pocket, but have protection in case something serious happens. This year, my 12 y/0 kitty was losing weight. In order to determine what was wrong, he needed some rather expensive testing (ultrasounds, etc). I was able to turn in his bills in excees of $1000 and was promptly reimbursed 80%. The claims rep kept me updated on the status of each bill until it was paid.

My dog recently got very ill with HGE and had to be hospitalized. Luckily he made a full recovery, but the vet bills were in the thousands. I filed my first claim with Healthy Paws and was surprised at how easy it was. The form is very simple and reimbursement was quick. Plus, when I emailed with questions, I always received a prompt response from a real person who seemed to genuinely care about the health of my dog. Overall, I am very pleased and so glad I had insurance, so I could focus on getting my dog well and not worry about cost.

I had my Chihuahua/Pomeranian, Pancake for a couple years. I started looking for insurance on him after seeing a friend almost not be able to afford to have her pet taken care of after an accident. I had insured my two dogs and kitty cat with other providers but I usually found that, after paying premiums for years, when it came time to use the insurance policy, the reimbursement process often was laborious and, in many cases, the company would not cover a cost which seemed to have been included. Plus these companies would try to get out of paying for care once the policy renewed by then classifying it as a "pre-condition." My experience with Healthy Paws has been completely different. The company has kept its word on its advertised promises and has handled all of my claims very expeditiously. I have been impressed by the company's ethic and how it has helped taken care of my furry family members. The only minor problem I had was with some files sent by our veterinarians to Healthy Paws but this was eventually resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Overall I have been very impressed with Healthy Paws and would recommend the company over any other pet insurance plan with which I am familiar.

My English Mastiff got very sick this past August. She ended up with pneumonia. She had to spend 2 nights at the emergency animal hospital and then had to spend another night at her vet. The bill all together was around $2,000 and Embrace covered more than half of the bill. I am glad that I decided to get the Embrace Insurance. I think it is a good thing to have for your animals.

I'm a doctor who deals with health insurance for my patients on a daily basis. I wish every 'Human" insurance carrier handled my patient's claims as efficiently and intelligently as Embrace has handled Lola's claims these last four years. Have had this insurance for close to 2 years and can't say enough good things about it. Have used it a few times and the customer care and service has alwsys been outstanding. Recently had to take my beautiful black labrador to emergency because she had stopped eating and drinking anything and all she wanted to do was lay under the bed.
