Thank you for saving my cat's life!

On a Thursday night during COVID-19 related lockdown of my nearest city, my exceptionally friendly, funny, adored cat Boomerang was admitted to an animal hospital for two life-threatening conditions that had suddenly appeared. ASPCA helped the veterinarians to save his life. Without ASPCA insurance, I would not have been able to afford his surgery. Making a claim was easy even without access to a printer. After the procedure, Boomerang recovered without any hiccups and ASPCA quickly fulfilled my claim, and ASPCA even phoned to ask how Boomerang is doing. He's a healthy lively young kitty. I thank his veterinarians and ASPCA.

Affordable and easy to use

Very happy with Healthy Paws! I signed up with them when I got my cat because of the very reasonable premiums. Recently my cat had to get emergency surgery to remove an intestinal blockage and I was so relieved that I had pet insurance. It was easy to submit my claims to Healthy Paws and they were processed promptly.

Horrible experience

I had a HORRIBLE experience with them. Not all inssurance companies abide to stereotypes, but unfortunately in Petsecure's case, they're true. First of all, I hope you're patient because the 10-day-period needed to review my case took TWO MONTHS (I sent my claim on March 26th and this saga ended today, May 26th). It was very difficult to get someone on the line and it would simply hung up on me without having been able to speak to anyone. I had to call many times during the day, multiple times an hour to get someone on the line. I had to speak to three different people on the phone on separate occasions and send emails to another just to activate my customer account and start this whole insurance claiming process...I've never had that kind of experience with any insurance company before. The insurance coverage takes 48h before being activated. I adopted a cat from a shelter on March 5th. On March 8th, I had to go to the vet because the cat was vomiting bile. The shelter told me that my coverage was effective since I had GONE TO THE VET 48h after the adoption. Unfortunately, Petsecure took into account that the cat's symptoms from the night before (March 7th) were the starting point for the cat's record and not the date of the appointment. If you want to waste your time for two months to make a claim and never see your money again, choose Petsecure. You will not be disappointed. Stay safe everyone! Marilyn

My dog has been going through a lot...

My dog has been going through a lot of medical illness stuff the past six weeks. Without ASPCA insurance, I’m not sure where I’d be; and afraid that I might be making choices that I’d always wish were different without it. My costs are still going to be above the annual cap - but without it, I’d be lost! Their INS gives me the peace of mind, knowing I can care for my pets, with one less worry. If I never needed/used the INS - that would be just fine, and I still wouldn’t regret paying for knowing it’s there. Thank you ASPCA!

A pet insurance company that actually cares

When Olly had a giant GI issue in October of 2019, I started looking into Accident and Illness pup insurance. He already had a wellness package with his veterinarian, but like many of you have already found out - these generally only include wellness visits, dentals, and vaccines. This wasn't going to cut it. I spent weeks researching pet insurance. Best reviewed companies, emails to representatives, trial basses, pre-existing conditions checks. The top ranked companies all failed my most basic expectations. Dental tartar - a pre-existing condition. A hot spot from a cone that rubbed his neck raw, a pre-existing condition. Things that not even a human insurance would consider "pre-existing" - all pre-existing. This appalled me. I would think a pet insurance company would truly care for the animals they care for. Not one of them did. I started looking at customer reviews for these companies. They were horrendous, the people agreed. I finally stumbled across the ASPCA's, underwritten by a Fire Insurance company. I was amazed. This companies customer reviews blew all others out of the water. Their stipulations were fair and compassionate at the same time. Pre-existing conditions were not a ghost to forever haunt your medical history. I signed up and I moved on with my life and forgot about it. Until Olly developed GDV during the COVID 19 shutdown. Three veterinary visits in one day. Followed by a trip to the Animal Emergency Clinic that night and emergency surgery. I had more vet visits in 1 month than I ever had in a year (and let's face it, I love him, but my dog is a lemon) - and I remembered the insurance I purchased. I downloaded the app, took a few pictures of paperwork and submitted his first claim. Simple as that. The wait time for processing wasn't horrible. I received my reimbursement. It had truly been a blessing. Where I would have had no other choices, I was able to save Olly when I otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford it. If I could ask for one thing, it would be the ability for bills to be handled like humans at a doctors office. Unfortunately, everything is paid by you in advance to the hospitals and clinic. This is a requirement of the hospitals and clinics themselves. You submit your claim for reimbursement. While this is not ideal, its the best option available.

They are wonderful -- I have been a customer for almost 7 years. Any claims I have filed have been promptly paid.

I cannot say enough good things about this company. Anyone I have spoken with there has been very nice, knowledgeable, and helptul. Filing a claim online is easy, and they pay the claims very promptly.
