The company has been great about payments and has never felt like it was "just a business." The only reason I did not give it a 10 is because it may not be the right choice for people who prefer an insurance company that will contribute to regular vet visit costs. However, I think it is because of this aspect of Trupanion that the premiums cost less. The whole thing feels appropriate, for lack of a better term. You pay a bit less per month, and you get coverage under fewer circumstances, but when you ARE covered, you get exactly what insurance is meant to be: relief from a major financial burden when something goes unexpectedly wrong.
