We got the 6-week PetSecure voucher from our breeder. Two days after bringing our Golden Retriever puppy home, she was diagnosed with a Grade 4 heart murmur, and after a visit with a cardiologist and a specialized ultrasound, with subaortic stenosis. At first, the dates of the voucher had been incorrectly entered, which would mean that we wouldn't have coverage. However, a quick call to the company fixed that right away. Not only did Pet Secure process our claim, but we're able to extend coverage and pick a level of coverage (Secure 1-4) without her heart disease being considered a pre-existing condition. Since our dog will need monitoring and care throughout her life, this is a relief. I do wish that there wasn't a risk of our coverage dropping below 80% coverage if we eventually make continued use of our policy, but that hasn't actually happened yet.

Dr. Sandra Madden from MyVet made a home visit for our aging Labrador. This was much less traumatic for our timid dog. Trupanion's reimbursement arrived very quickly after submission.

I adopted a dog and was given a gift of insurance, when I called the following day to active his microchip, I bought the full coverage insurance luckily.... Or so I had thought. After two days of having my dog I took him to the vet because his face and gums were pale and he was barely moving. Come to find out he needs a blood transfusion and to be on medication for an unknown amount of time. I called prior to filling out the claim paperwork and was told this would be covered. GREAT! I thought. So now three months later I recieve a letter in the mail stating they do not cover this. I called to speak to someone because I had been told this would be covered. The answer I was given was we only cover basic things like parvo, intestinal problems, mange, respitory issues, and allergies. So for me this was worthless and a waste of money.

We're glad to have a cheque in our hands, but not all expenses related to the root canal procedure were covered.

I am thrilled we made the decision to insure our dogs, especially through Embrace. They are always easy to deal with. I get fast responses. The policy is clear, and submitting claims is easy and fast. I recommend Embrace to every dog owner I know.

Our Terrier Mix, Kelley Anne, was diagnosed with Menangiosarcoma and given a short time to live. They recommended a splenectomy to add another 6 months to her life. She came through the operation by VCA, Norwalk, CT, very well and is now enjoying a good lifestyle. We know that this will not be a permanent fix but at least we still have our wonderful pet with us. Thank you Pets Best for paying for most of her treatment.

Have had Trupanion for 2 years now so far only one issue with getting a reimbursement check but otherwise no issues. From my very fist claim for a foreign body removal from stomach 90% return from 3k bill. Now continuous skin infections all test and treatments covered including special food and non prescription supplements. Customer service has been very polite and helpful. Not sure of hours but they are open on weekends. I would really love to see a portion of vet/specialists office visit fee covered. As it stands no portion of visits covered. Overall I would recommend Trupanion. They are probably most expensive but you do get a return if you use it. They also cover a lot of non routine items like holistic treatment and rehab.

The saying, I rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it certainly applies here!We have a Weimaraner who is almost 2 Years old and he has been a handful to say the least, but he has brought many smiles and I am glad we have some help recouping money spent at the vet. The premiums have been covered and more, the people I have spoken with on the phone from ASPCA Pet have been very courteous and helpful!

About 7 years ago my little Yorkie was taken to the Small Animal Clinic at a local University. He was in ICU about 5 days and the bill was $1500.00. While in the waiting room I was viewing the pets health brochure from ASPCA. I invested in the health plan and it has been the best thing I have done. Buddy has suffered from skin conditions to pancreatitis. I recommend pet insurance to anyone who has acquired a new pet.

We had our puppy neutered and microchipped. Our vet's office submitted the claim. We set up direct deposit for claim reimbursement. Three days later, we received an email detailing our reimbursement. On the fifth day following the procedure we were reimbursed. We called in advance of the procedure to ensure our policy would cover the procedures. The gentleman was very friendly and helpful. We are new clients of Embrace and are extremely happy.
