This is terrible insurance with incredible rude people answering the phone and on chat. They say one thing in their policy and marketing and do another. Seek elsewhere.

Best thing I have done for my dog!
Best thing I have done for my dog! Every time I speak to someone or submit a claim it is a pleasant and caring experience. It is such a relief to know that your family member has coverage for their health and it isn't going to be a fight. I had never had insurance for a pet before and was a bit wary, but man I am glad I did, and that I went with Trupanion! Will definitely be a life long customer for my fur babies! Great company!

I am a Veterinarian and I trust PetsBest to cover my furbabies
I am a veterinarian and I have had my furbabies insured with PetsBest starting in 2013. Through all of these years, PetsBest has come through for my pets and has never been unfair in their coverage. Within the past 1.5 years, my cat Summer was hospitalized twice (once for gastrointestinal upset and once for a ureteral obstruction with emergency surgery for SUB placement), and has had to have multiple rechecks to ensure her SUB stays functional. Once I hit my deductable, they covered everything up to my annual limit! Her entire SUB surgery was paid for, which saved me thousands of dollars (even though I get a discount as a veterinarian!) I feel confident that for the years to come, Summer will continue to have all the care she needs to maintain her SUB. My cat Rosie was also hospitalized for a gastrointestinal issue and then was diagnosed with a mosquito allergy. Both were covered. My dog Pepper ate a whole bag of ant poison (COVERED!) and then ate a lethal dose of chocolate from under our Christmas tree (COVERED!). I recommend PetsBest to my clients, friends, and family. They have saved me thousands of dollars. Even if your pet has a preexisting condition, it's still worth it! They won't cover that condition (which makes 100% sense) but they will cover anything new that comes up.

Obtaining Trupanion insurance is the best decision I ever made. They are very helpful, and they process your claims very quickly. They have saved me thousands of dollars in vet bills and when I lost my pet they were very sympathetic and understanding.

What is an outstanding company
What is an outstanding company, true to their word. My dog has been quite ill and needed to go to the emergency room and hospitalization and medication and on and on. Trupanion came through as they said they were with no surprises and very timely reimbursement. I would not only use them again, I would also refer them to anybody. I could not be more pleased with a pet insurance company.

I am thrilled with Trupanion!!
I am thrilled with the benefits I’ve received from Trupanion! My dog had to go in for a teeth cleaning and ended up having a tooth extracted due to abscess. I thought Trupanion would cover the extraction only, but they covered over half of the entire bill due to the treatment for the abscess. My daughter also has a policy for her dog, and has been so pleased every time she has submitted a claim. I would highly recommend Trupanion for anyone who has a dog or is considering getting one!

Stay away from FIGO!!
Stay away from FIGO!!! As a long time policy holder, please value my opinion and choose a different insurance provider. Since the company recently switched underwriters, they are now trying to avoid paying “ALL” claims, making their policy holders “fight” for every claim moving forward. Figo has become a giant scam, finding every excuse to no-longer pay claims. If you “truly care” about your pets well-being, “do not use FIGO”!! The more claims the company can reject, the more money the company can accumulate, at the policy holders expense. At a time where many people are struggling to make ends meat coming out of this pandemic, Figo has chosen to take advantage of their less fortunate policy holders, extracting all the dollars they possibly can. Do not go with FIGO!!!!

Not worth it.
Usually have to appeal decisions. They will find reasons not to cover. Covers per incident and will find reason to claim each incident is unrelated. Example...Giardia. Covered in 2019. No premium paid as deductible was not met. Ok. Accepted. Exact symptoms in 2021. Treated with same meds prescribed in 2019 (successfully) for Giardia although no cysts were found in fecal. They are not always found due to life cycle and shedding of Giardia cysts. Claim denied. Reason, vomiting diarrhea can be caused by anything including cancer so not covered. This was not first denial. They will say rates aren’t increased annually due to age of dog as if that is a positive. Perhaps this is true but they do definitely increase annually due to annual increase in vet fees. They don’t cover vet fees. Examination fees are not covered. Paid out about 7000 in premiums not including annual premium increases which has gone up from about 53 to 81 monthly. Recovered about 2600 of that in payable claims. They are quick to process claims and to respond on the positive side even if it is a claim denial you gave to appeal. Won’t fight with them over this one, considering cancelling.
