The response time was excellent. However, I am now very confused by what is covered in my dog's policy. He had several suspicious lumps biopsied and none of the testing was reimbursed. While I have largely been very satisfied with the coverage over the years, my latest experience has been a big disappointment.

First experience with ASPCA insurance
So far my experience with ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has been so easy. I filled out the application online, spoke to a real person and got everything in order over the phone. The phone rep answered all of my questions, knew her product ( horse insurance) and was very personable. Hopefully I never have to interact again, except to add another horse to my policy! It is a relief knowing my horse is protected if an emergency arises.

My dog was diagnosed with hip problems while on the insurance but Trupanion found a way to misconstrue the information and then refused to cover it. I made several appeals but was not able to set the truth straight. I then asked for a refund for my payments up to that point and they also refused to give me any of the paid premiums back. Be very careful, may be better off putting monthly premiums into a savings account. Anyway, hope everyone has a better experience then I did. Very disappointed the way Trupanion handled this one.

I moved a short distance away and my bill went up $20 per month. Theft. I rather use a more expensive service with clear pricing than to keep a service that changes pricing so drastically when relocating. Another person relocates the opposite direction and drops in price 30%, there's no balance and bad business.

Purchase follow up conversation
I received a call that was accompanied by "possible spam" alerts. Something told me to answer call anyway, I am glad I did. The nicest guy was on the phone,introduced himself and thanked me for purchasing pet insurance. We talked for about half hour like old friends. He tolde me he has worked for this company for six years and it was a good company. This was so refreshing. Thank you much for having a company with integrity and great employees. I sharing this with all my pet loving friends
