50/50 on if I would use Trupanion again
Claim experience was fine. I’m just still upset over a past claim on another pet. Not paying because they had previous bit wounds before insurance went into effect Other than that my experience has been good

Effortless and transparent process
Healthy Paws did an incredible job with my claims for my puppy's recent treatment. Healthy Paws has an effortless process for claims. They respond quickly and send an email outlining the process they will take to resolve the claim. Their process is transparent with no hidden surprises. Once they make their determination, an email fully explaining the return arrives. Because I had a few claims related to my puppy's treatment, they even sent followup emails asking how my pup was doing. Once they announced the amount they were paying, it appeared the next day in my bank. I couldn't be happier with the entire process. I highly recommend Healthy Paws and I'm glad I chose the policy I did.

Poor Service
Unfortunately, my horse has had a lot of medical issues this year. She's a rescue so I've just been trying to get her to a healthy baseline. Seeing that ASPCA cares about animal welfare, I thought they would be a good option. I got comprehensive coverage. I submit claims every time she needs care, and they almost never count towards my deductible or reimbursement. They always find a reason to decline coverage. It makes me think they don't care about animals afterall. The routine care supplemental policy is not worth it. Their annual limits are nowhere near what the care actually costs, so you get a fraction back. They take weeks to process you claims, and if their verdict is incorrect, expect to wait another few weeks to even hear back. Their wait times on the phone are exceptionally long 40+ minutes on hold just to talk to someone. They take weeks to reply to emails. I have been waiting weeks for an estimate for surgery before scheduling it and still have not received an answer. In response to your reply: I did give you a call at that number yesterday and was on hold for 2.5 hours. Once your office closed, you hung up the line, so I was not able to speak with anyone. I cannot commit to being on hold all day. I have sent emails so please feel free to help me there.

I couldn't find my cat's policy
I couldn't find my cat's policy, and asked for help to find it. Although I gave my payment info, initial monies were not taken out. It was all straightened out thanks to my online chat person, Kelly.

We got a new puppy a year ago
We got a new puppy a year ago. He is very athletic. We researched pet insurance (this was our first time). I have USAA insurance and they partner with Embrace. We selected the right coverage for us and have had great insurance for our dog, Finnigan. Finnigan has had three issues in the last year. The claims were turned around in 48 hours (2nd and 3rd). On line submission was seamless! We would recommend Embrace whole heartedly!
