Trupanion, you all are amazing!
Since my little guy was 4 months old, we've had him insured with Trupanion. Although he's generally quite healthy, possibly because he hates going to the vet, recently he's had an issue that required a couple of visits and x-rays. Not only was it immeasurably easy to scan and file the claim forms on line, but I couldn't believe how quickly they responded. Literally within 30 minutes Trupanion had acknowledged receipt of the claims by email, and within 24-48 hours determinations were rendered. It would be nice if human insurers were as responsive!

Great Customer Service
They paid my claim within 10 days, just as advertised, even though it took longer than that to get all my supporting documents to them. They also kept me informed about the progress of my claim. At the time I signed up, four years ago, they also had the best rates for my dog's age. I haven't comparison shopped since then but I've been happy with the service and not tempted to change. When I emailed a question about a rate change, their customer service was prompt to reply with an explanation. Compared to my previous pet insurance company, which took over two months to pay a claim (I suspect they were waiting to get more premium payments from me), Healthy Paws has been stellar.

Good company but deductible is high
