Trupanion is Fantastic!
Playing in our own yard resulted in a major laceration! Accidents happen quickly and very unexpectedly - we were outside with our beautiful 3 year old Goldendoodle “Lucy” when she jumped up and landed on the edge of a 1/2 inch wide plywood sand box wall. A gigantic laceration in her groin area was bleeding and obviously needed repair. The 24/7 pet emergency sutured her and sent her home with a drain tube, antibiotics, and pain pills. She did well for a few days but the drainage became infected. The surgeon saw her and revised the drain and changed the antibiotic. After the $700 deductible TRUPANION paid the hospital directly and we were only responsible to a relatively small portion. We were extremely grateful for the prompt, efficient, and courteous service provided by the VCA West Coast Animal Emergency and Trupanion Pet Insurance staff,

I feel like what is being covered and…
I feel like what is being covered and what is out of pocket is not lining up with how things were described when purchasing the plan. And things are not being covered because you say they are not a covered benefit, but I don't feel that's accurate. Maybe I'm wrong, or things are not listed clearly enough with you guys. But I am not really sure this pet insurance is worth it for us. It's feeling like a waste of money right now.

Takes forever and then they close it stating they have no records when they do.
I have 2 dogs on the policy the first claim was easy. The second one took forever over a month then they disapproved stating they needed medical records when I called and confirmed several times that they need nothing. They NEVER responded to email on the customer service tab. I had to wait on the phone for ever each time I called in.
