Why didn't I get Insurance sooner
You don't realize you need insurance until something bad happens unexpectedly. That is what happened to our cats last year a week before our wedding. Having an extra $350 emergency vet visit before your wedding is the last thing you want. Then several months later a friend of our cat had to go to the doctor for x-rays and medication for back issues. Jacob and I looked at each other and realized we could no longer wait to get pet insurance. We are lucky enough to have USAA and be able to get embrace pet insurance by being members. The cost per month is worth it if it is going to cover an unexpected bill like our previous bill. If we had gotten pet insurance right away it would have taken us a year and a half to hit what we spent on our emergency pet visit for our cat. When our other cat started having seizures yesterday, I didn't have to worry about what tests the vet would want to run and how much it would cost, I knew I was covered by Embrace! They made the claim process so easy and were very understanding. Would highly recommend it!

BEST Pet Insurance Available--Won't Find Better!!!
I highly recommend Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. You will not find better coverage, better customer service, easter claims processes, or better reimbursement rates. I am so grateful for Healthy Paws. It recently paid off by saving my little girl's life!! It made all the difference in accessing the best treatment and therapy for my little girl, knowing I had Healthy Paws behind me. I could NOT have gotten through the difficult and worrisome time without knowing we had the financial security and support behind us! Claims Taking Far Too Long
The delay in processing claims has continued to worsen over the past year or so. It is getting to the point that I’m not recouping the funds from my claims in a timely enough manner to justify continuing with the insurer. I already have to pay up front and await reimbursement, and to have to wait so long for it just adds insult to injury. Especially when I’m not asked to provide further documentation! I submit the invoice and receipt, and it apparently takes 5-6 weeks to get around to it.

Excellent customer service with prompt claim processing and payment
Trupanion’s customer service representative was available for my 5 a.m. call following emergency pet surgery to explain clearly and in detail exactly what my policy would cover and how to file a claim. The On-line claim process was efficient. My claim was processed and reimbursement paid four days after the claim was filed and funds deposited directly to the designated bank account. Couldn’t have been easier. Wish human insurance claims were as efficient!
