Great insurance for my cat - smooth claims process

Embrace was recommended by our vet - one of the few that specializes solely on felines in the DMV area. After doing in-depth research against competitors, I decided to sign up with Embrace because of consistently positive reviews and reputation. I'm amazed at their customer service and willingness to assist. The claims submission process is very simple. Print out a prepopulated single page form and ask your vet to fill it out after the visit. I've had two claims submissions and both have been approved with zero hassle in a short time frame. The first submission was when my cat had fluid leaking from his ear and a heaving cough. The vet bill was in the area of $650 - Embrace covered their share after I met the deductible. During the same visit, my vet strongly recommended I take my cat to the cardiologist as a result of some unusual heart activity. That bill was about $450 and since I had already met my deductible, Embrace reimbursed me for their portion within a week. I brought the form to the vet and they faxed it to Embrace - I did nothing more than print a piece of paper. I feel very confident that Embrace has got me and my little guy covered!

Embrace is "Top Shelf" for covering my Spartan

I spent a lot of time on the internet looking for the right dog health insurance that will cover my puppy for illness or accident without any "hassles". My dog gets sick or has an accident, I get reimbursed according to my policy... period! Well, I found that Embrace Pet Insurance was rated as one of the top companies you can rely on for prompt, fair and courteous service. No one wants to see their pet get sick or hurt, but when they do, Embrace is there to ease my pain! My 18 month old Boxer has a couple of issues where my claim was faxed in by the Vet and within a day or two, Embrace emailed me they had received the claim and it was in review. A few days later I'm notified the claim has been approved and I can use their "Portal" to see what is being sent back to me! Great decision to get Embrace!

Excellent experience with Embrace

I have had Embrace Pet Insurance for several years, but never really had to file a claim until this year. My beagle had to have surgery, and the claims process has been easy and efficient. The claim is processed very quickly and I have received my refunds in a timely manner. I can't thank Embrace enough for the wonderful experience and great customer service.

Grateful we made the investment

Our pug got into the trash and ate some paper products that ultimately led to ER and regular vet visits, as well as major surgery, followed by an abscess. Our bills were close to $4k. So grateful we had insurance....while we are still out of pocket over $1k, thats way better than the full amount! I strongly recommend pet insurance for the catastrophic for sure.

Ethical and honest

I have three pets and I began to think about acquiring pet health insurance. I was not looking forward to having yet another monthly bill, but I thought it was a good idea to have insurance if any of my family's beloved pets became ill or had a sudden accident. I did plenty of research before deciding on Healthy Paws, and I located and carefully read all the 'fine print" on theirs and other insurance carriers' contracts. Healthy Paws was straight forward and not too expensive, and I also noticed in my research what appeared to be many real and satisfied customers. My older pet understandably required a higher deductible, and as with almost all pet insurance carriers, pre-existing conditions were not covered. However, the deductible was not too high and was payable every year, NOT every incident like other insurance carriers. About 8-months after signing up for Healthy Paws, my 11 year old male cat had a urinary blockage, that led to a bladder rupture, that quickly spiraled beyond the expertise of my vet and required a specialist and also emergency care/hospitalization. The bills quickly piled on to amounts that weakened my knees, but luckily, I had savings, and I wasn't sure if Healthy Paws would hold up its end of the bargain once I submitted my pets' history and invoices. Surprisingly, there was about a one-week turn around for each claim (shorter amount of time than they indicated), and I was reimbursed as promised with no complications. Through a tough battle, my cat was saved, and is currently in recovery, and I was able to focus on getting him better with the comfort of knowing that I had an honest and ethical insurance company to cover the majority of the bills as they promised they would. Being ethical and an insurance company are two things that are usually not expected to go hand-in-hand, but my emergency experience with Healthy Paws has restored my faith that there are actually companies still out there trying to do right by their customer. Our family has their best friend back, and our cat was able to get the best treatment possible. When considering pet insurance, read the fine print before signing up, and keep in mind my experience, because if there's the slightest chance your pet can survive an emergency situation, Healthy Paws will afford you peace of mind so that you can focus on finding that chance and possibly enjoy many more years with your pet/companion/best-friend.

100% Satisfied

When we got our dog at 13 weeks old, I dove into extensive research to pick a pet insurance. We had lost out last dog to a catastrophic illness and after spending over $5,000 and still losing her, I knew I wanted pet insurance so we would always be able to get our dog the bear care without worrying about money. We had several small claims at first and found Healthy Paws very easy to deal with and claims were processed quickly. Our policy reimburses at 90% after a $100 deductible. Several months ago, our dog started limping. After work up for tick borne illnesses, X-rays, trial of meds and rest, it was determined she needed to see a specialist. She was diagnosed with a torn cruciate ligament and needed surgery. I called Healthy Paws and inquired if they ever pay the surgeon directly. Arrangements were made for a direct payment and we would be responsible only to pay out our 10%. They said they consider this for expensive procedures. The surgery was completed a week later and totaled over $4700. We paid out 10% when we picked her up. Healthy Paws has made it possible for us to treat our dog based on what she needs not on what we can afford. They are kind and caring, even emailed me to check on how she is doing. They are a company with integrity, they help shelter animals and I love that. People always say they don't think pet insurance is worth the cost of the monthly premium and I wholeheartedly disagree! I tell everyone I know about Healthy Paws and encourage people to consider insuring their pet. I'm a very happy customer!!

Embrace has Saved Me Money and my Puppy is only 6

I purchased pet insurabce because I didn't want to be stuck in a situation where if my dog really needed some serious surgery I wouldn't be able to afford it. However, I also purchased Embraces wellness plan. And I've already received more in reimbursement then I've spent. I know this will change as a Daisy grows but the reassurance I get not just from if something major goes wrong it is covered, which is worth the price, but Embrace also makes your dogs care more affordable over their lifetime with wellness benefits.
