Reduced coverage due to amount of claims in one year
I have had PetSecure for several years and we have 2 dogs. It was pretty good at reimbursing the 80% , just very slow to re-imburse and many times I had to have the vet submit the request several times because PetSecure kept saying they did not receive it. Now my chihuahua had to have double hip replacement this past year and PetSecure want to keep my monthly fee the same but drop the coverage to 60% even though our contract is for 80%. I find this very upsetting and will be looking for a different insurance company.

Update from 5 stars to 1
Stephanie was very helpful in answering all my questions! The premiums seem to be lower but cover more than previous pet insurance companies I’ve used. I will update once I’ve used the policy but my first impression is very good Update: So it turns out nearly everything I was told about my policy was a lie. The premiums are lower but its because they deny every claim. Say your pet has a UTI and while you're at the vet they realize your pet is due for a vaccine. If you get the vaccine, Prudent Pet will count that entire visit as "wellness" and won't pay for any of the UTI treatment. They find every loophole and run you around for hours with forms and phone calls. I highly regret choosing them. With their response, I want to make it clear that I was on the phone with them for hours at a time for several days. I clarified which concerns were wellness and which were illness and they still refused to cover my expenses because there were wellness items on the original bill. My vet even reached out to confirm that the visit was for an emergency illness. Making customers submit individual forms for each charge on the bill even if they happened on the same visit shows how many loopholes they make you jump through for what should be simple claims.

Claim process
I'm a fairly new customer. I have filed two claims for preventative care and I was so impressed with their extremely quick process to approve the claims and the step by step guidance to file them.

Glad we had our Emma insured with Embrace
We are Embrace customers since 2016 and never needed to file a claim. The last day of October our Emma injured herself and we took her to the vet. She is now recovering and she is doing much better. We file the claim and got the reimbursement right away. I was very impress but the kindness of Carly who asked me first thing first how Emma was doing even before she asked me to send the invoices. We have four pets insured by Embrace.

Very Happy with Embrace!
Once their first claims were processed for my two dogs - seemed like that took a long time - my experience has been very positive. Now claims are paid quickly and Embrace is not stingy. They look for ways to give you your maximum benefit allowed. My dogs are large and giant breeds so when something happens and I need to take them to the Vet, it is very expensive. I am thankful to have Embrace insurance and have recommended it to several other dog owners. There is good cost-benefit with this policy. Steve

If I waited this long to pay my…
If I waited this long to pay my premium, my insurance would be canceled. Trupanion keeps saying they aren’t receiving my vets records, my vet shows me proof they have sent them. Seems like yet another scam, too good to be true, God help you if you need your money back

Purchasing Spot pet insurance
I purchased Spot pet insurance for our dog. I have yet to use the insurance. I liked that I could custom create my own deductible, yearly amount etc

Cold/heartless company - will find every excuse to not help when needed
In the beginning, FIGO seemed great. Reasonable rates, service dog discounts, easy to use app. Then they stopped with the service dog discounts & rates started going up. We had FIGO coverage from 4/2017 - 4/2021, had some financial hardships and had to cancel our service temporarily. Got back on our feet, got coverage again 10/2021, and then lymphoma hit. My service dog was diagnosed with Lymphoma 10/23/21 and passed 11/21/21. All of my claims were denied due to symptoms showing up during the illness waiting period. This was my only claim in 5 years. I got a big middle finger, so sorry, thanks for the money, you’re on your own. No compassion, no help. They made sure that the “policy” was written just so, symptoms appeared and they won’t help cover anything. What’s the point of insurance if they won’t help when it’s needed? But they are making millions from their customers. This has been the WORST experience, absolutely no help when we needed. All appeals have been denied. Would never recommend such a cold/heartless business. Future pups will be covered by other insurance providers.
