Above and beyond

I was devastated by the unexpected saddle thrombosis and death of my dear Mau. Healthy Paws claim process quick, and I received the most gracious emails from staff. I do also appreciate the automatic cancellation of his policy as everything I have to do reminded me brings back the hurt. I received a condolence card hand signed by the Healthy Paws staff and taken aback. I work for an insurance company and, believe me, nothing like that would take place. Healthy Paws made a very painful event as painless as possible.

Your billing notification is not good.

Your billing notification is not good. Nowhere in the renewal notification do you specify payment options. Nor do you provide an addressed envelope for paying by check. A web address for policy payment/info would help.

They are a company that really cares for your pet.

I have never had insurance even for myself that the insurance company called and checked in with me on how my dog and I were doing. After my dog was diagnosed with cancer and I put in my first claim ASPCA called me that week asking if there was anything they can do for us. They were so caring and understanding what I was going through emotionally. I would recommend this insurance to everyone with a pet.

This pet insurance coverage is straightforward, generous, affordable, and customer service is outstanding!

We've always hesitated to purchase pet insurance on our dogs due to mixed reviews on claims actually getting covered, and it always seemed so complicated a process. We finally decided to research again in order to get our six-year-old lab mix covered. I spoke with a friend who was very pleased with Embrace, and we went for it. Best decision! Very soon after we purchased the policy, our fur baby was diagnosed with two neurological conditions - one acute, one chronic - and everything has been covered - from doctors' appointments, MRI, labwork, to acupuncture, laser therapy, physical therapy, hydrotherapy, and now (unfortunately) surgery. I am not exaggerating when I say I honestly do not know what we would have done without this policy. We could not have afforded all of this wonderful (and necessary) care for our youngest son, who happens to be a dog ;-) The customer service has been stellar - always friendly, professional, helpful, and fast! (Claims and pre-certifications get turned around impressively quickly; emails and phone calls are answered immediately). I really like how we were able to build our own policy, simply choosing the amount of coverage per year that we felt comfortable with, the amount of the deductible, and whether we wanted prescription and well-care coverage. I only wish human health insurance could be this simple, affordable, and effective!

So grateful for this insurance!

This company has been incredibly responsive, empathic, and helpful with all of our confusion in the process to find a diagnosis and treatment for our dog. After being at the vet constantly after finding a mass on my dog's spleen, they have been incredibly supportive and have followed up on any claims that needed further attention. It has been a huge relief knowing I could proceed with whatever testing and treatment I felt was necessary.

Best is the correct name

Comfortable, easy, friendly. I have used the max for an accident with my dog and received immediate service without question. I continue to tell every pet owner I encounter this is the "best" money I have spent on my pet. Fair and professional company.

Pets Best Rocks Again!

My dog, Jimi, contracted an eye infection. He's had a bad year, also a skin infection and a spine injury. There was never a question that Pets Best wouldn't pay on the claims and that they would pay promptly, within a week. I had another company insure my dog years ago and while they were good, they had so many exclusions. Pets Best is extremely reasonable and generous in what they cover. Submitting a claim could not be easier. I can't imagine not having health insurance on my dogs, and I can't imagine covering them with anyone other than Pets Best.

Might be better to just put $100 per month into a savings account

After paying monthly to Embrace for many years and just recently having some issues with my dog, i think looking back it would have been better putting that money in a savings account for when we needed it. Now when you need it, they take the deductibles and say that some of the Rx needed is not covered and on and on. Then you have to wait for processing. I would have come out ahead with the savings account method and that is what i think i will do in the future. My dog has been pretty much free of issues for years. But this last issue cost me about $1600 and I’ll get back maybe $770 or something like that. That said, I would have rather had the whole amount in savings especially for this purpose and been done with it. I guess it’s all a matter of choice.
