I would like to take a minute and thank Trupanion from the bottom of my heart. They have always been there for us and our babies. No questions asked. Our rescue little boy Blu is the 2nd baby we have had to use them for and they are truly the best you could ever ask for when it comes to pet insurance. I tell everyone I know about them when asked about pet insurance and even when not. I honestly dont know what I would do without you. So thank you again.

Do your research
claims take at a minimum 60 days to process. read the fine print as I ended up paying for most wellness visits out of pocket even though I purchased the top tier package. waiting for year to be up in order to cancel policy.

We purchase the pet plan insurance based on our sons recommendation and comparing other policies. Our puppy came to us with a few problems and pet plan-now Fetch, has been a life saver. The app is easy to use and reimbursement is fairly prompt. We are so glad we have it.

Trupanion is Awesome. We have had repeatedly positive experiences. They respond quickly to claims, communicate proactively during their underwriting period, and have met, if not exceeded, our expectations for reimbursements.

Never ever sign up with petsplusus. Kindly read all recent reviews as they have completely gone downhill in last 2 years.
Would never go with this company or recommend it to anybody. They will deny every claim based upon technicalities or they will say preexisting condition even though the condition was diagnosed a year after the policy was in effect. Better off putting that money aside and use it if necessary. I even included a signed document from my doctor that it was not a pre-existing condition but to no avail. Money down the drain for nothing. They will sweet talk you into thinking that its the best coverage whereas when the time comes a way will be found to deny your claim. I wish I had read through the reviews before i signed up with them. Hundreds of 1 star critical reviews with very very few good reviews ( must be their underwriters - LOL ). Ombudsman complaint did not work. Now I have to go to Ontario Consumer Protection and better business bureau. I have been blatantly cheated and as a matter of principle I am not letting this go until I have exhausted all resources including spending money on a law suit. With them having cheated this many customers I am sure I will get more support. FYI - their ratings wer very good until 2 years back and then something happened with their management that decided to flush business ethics down the toilet.

Our Boston Terrier, Macy, has had Trupanion for almost 6 years. They have been great! They always have answered their phone and all our questions with patience and kindness and their pay out system is second to none! We highly recommend Trupanion for every furbaby!

Excellent customer experience--caring, easy process, fast
Our greyhound, Jack, had two medical emergencies in 2021. First, over the summer, he was suddenly and inexplicably paralyzed, and needed tests, hospitalization and medication. I worried that the claims process would be a hassle but it was incredibly easy using the mobile app. Healthy Paws then managed follow-up w/the specialists and vet. They processed very quickly, also responded quickly when I had questions. Recently, Jack had another emergency and needed tests, hospitalization and surgery. Again, Healthy Paws quickly processed my claim. I should note that our new coverage year had turned over by this time and our premium did go up a bit, as expected. In their cover email and explanation of benefits for this recent claim, they clearly explained that we were in a new coverage year, therefore the deductible applies. Very easy to understand--no surprises. On top of this great service, they also checked in on Jack and sent hugs :) I can tell that this is a company that appreciates pets and us pet parents who worry about them. I don’t agonize over care decisions in the moment and I don’t worry that claims will be a headache. I recommend Healthy Paws to anyone with a pet!

Trupanion is a life saver!
I can’t recommend Trupanion enough. We were very hesitant to get insurance for our rescue pup in the beginning but one of our friends highly recommended we do, as you never know what your pets health will be like. We did a lot of research and finally landed on Trupanion. We purchased when Humphrey was only 8 weeks old and we are so happy we did. As Humphrey got older we noticed something wasn’t right with him. So we started the long journey of tests, vet visits, specialists to discover he has kidney disease. Our vet bills and medication have been in the thousands and these costs are on going. Trupanion has allowed us to give Humphrey the best of care. It has helped us financially by covering his tests and medication (90% of cost). We don’t know what we would do with out Trupanion. So, if you are on the fence if you should get insurance for your pet I highly recommend you use Trupanion.
