Can I Afford Pet Insurance?
My experience with Trupanion has been excellent. I didn't give a 10 because I think it's important for each individual to consider the monthly premium amount for the life of their pet, which could unfortunately be very short, or over 20 years. We hope, but can't know how long they will live. Wil it be a healthy life, or a life plagued with chronic ailments, injuries, or other challenges. To date, I have roughly paid out $7,500 in insurance premiums for my 10 yr. old dog. He has had trouble with ear infections and seasonal allergies over those years, but nothing serious. I have submitted claims, receiving around $2570 to date. Obviously, I have put out much more $$$ for insurance coverage than I have received in approved claims. If my boy had had any serious illnesses and/or injuries, surgeries, or does in the future, it would be a definite relief to have coverage. I think it is each individual's decision to decide what's right for them. Do you put out $$$ each month for what might happen, or do you wait and see what may or may not happen? Do you have that extra $65/month to put toward insurance coverage? Are you willing to make the hard decision to pay out thousands for an unexpected emergency or possibly put down your pet, because you can't afford the needed treatment? Each pet owner has to make their own decision. Many people simply cannot afford insurance for their pets. So I might recommend Trupanion to someone, but if it comes down to cost, that's up to them.

Great insurance for new puppy adoptions
We bought insurance when Jiminy was 8 was old and itâs been well worth it. Bought Trupanion insurance for my daughterâs rescue Goldie (2) and Iâm afraid the clause about potential pre-existing condition has made Trupanion less effective.

Dusty
We had a cat named Dusty really sick. He was throwing up and had bloody diarrhea. Dusty wasn't eating or drinking anything. We took him to the vet and all they was concerned was Dusty and said we will figure something out. Lucky for us we had insurance and it cover everything except $288 and the total bill was $1800. I think that was pretty good. I'm getting ready to add another pet. It's worth every penny. The vet office put in the claim and took care of everything for me. I love this company and yes I would recommend it to anyone.

Best pet insurance ever
I have been a USAA member for more than 50 years and I believe this is the best auto/homeowner coverage available. Based on my positive experience, I purchased our pet insurance through Embrace. I couldn't be more pleased and relieved this company meets all the standards I've come to expect from USAA. Coverage is easy to understand, explanations are clear and concise, and every employee I've spoken or communicated with has been exceptionally courteous and professional.

Trupanion Came Through
Trupanion helped out when I was in a bind. My 1 1/2 year old sheltie put his back paw through a pitch fork while playing fetch. He was taken to the Emergency Vet Clinic for treatment. The amount payable following treatment was more than I had at the time. They said they accepted Trupanion but I would have to pay the full amount up front then send a claim myself to get the amount covered. They agreed to call Trupanion for me and thank goodness Trupanion came through for me and approved the claim and sent the money through right away. Thank You Trupanion!!!! My boy has since recovered and is racing around s though nothing happened!

Way to go Trupanion
Gren my five year old GSD has had Trupanion coverage since day one . He was having some trouble with his left hip . We had it X-rayed and Trupanion covered the costs quickly . Theyâve been great for five years
