Extremely prompt
I find that Trupanion is extremely prompt in investigating claims and fair in honoring claims in a timely manner. I've already recommended Trupanion to other people as I'm very impressed with Trupanion's service and Trupanion's policies. I have the 90% coverage policy with $1000 deductible. I have four pets currently being ensured. Prior to having pet insurance I had a pet named Lucky who was NOT very lucky at all when it came to health issues -having both cancer and kidney disease. The expenses almost put me in the poor house and I vowed that I would get Pet insurance for any future pets. Prior to Trupanion I was with another pet insurance company but their policy was not at fair as Trupanion 'so I 'made the switch to Trupanion. I'm extremely pleased to know my Pets are covered for any critical health expenses that may arise in the future for the lifetime of the pet not just on a year to year basis with a deductible each year. I currently have one sick pet but hopefully all my other pets will remain healthy and not need Trupanion!.

Rates doubled
Had this insurance for over 2 years now. I paid $39 a month for my pooch. Never used the insurance,thank God,she's been healthy. Her well being shots aren't covered. All of a sudden, doubled the premium. I now pay $72. I'm cancelling,just ridiculous!

Trupanion is 10 *'s in all categoies
After much research ( I am an ins agent), I selected Trupanion 9 years ago to insure my two aussie pups with Trupanion. Best decision ever. Their customer service has been A+++, their premiums very fair (they've even reduced my premium based on positive claims experiences in my policy pool), and when it came to be claim time, coordinated with my vet's office and paid within two weeks. I can't recommend enough. This insurance is doing exactly what I needed it to: it removed financial considerations from my decision making when it comes to medical issues with my pups.

It is always such a pleasant surprise when 100% of the bill is covered. Yes there are premiums to pay, but to not have to come up with the money unexpectedly is always a treat.

Pet insurance is the best decision I ever made
Pet insurance is the best decision I ever made for my dogs. Had to take one of my dog to a specialist and my bill was over $600 and Nationwide reimbursed me 90% of that cost.

Amazing service
Amazing service, helpful & informative. Always get a person on the line who can answer your questions & explain coverage. Glad to find the deductible is per illness for life of dogs not calendar year! I have paid for 10 years for 2 never submitting a claim. Wish I had called sooner. Kathy Pakiela
