Thank goodness for Trupanion!

I'm so happy to have this insurance. Leon and I got together when he was 7. He turns 15 this week! We were playing in the snow one day, and he just all of the sudden, he shot off into the street traffic, chasing a car and barking. I'd never seen him do that before and it worried me. I thought I'd better be prepared, just in case he shoots off again, and gets really hurt. We got some behavioral advice, and I bought an insurance policy from Trupanion. Thankfully, Leon has never been injured, but now that he's a senior citizen, he takes medication to control his arthritis, and the swelling in his paws that goes along with it. I am extremely thankful to have this insurance. The medication is expensive, but most of it is covered by his policy. Plus, the vet assistants put the claim in when I re-fill his prescriptions and I don't fuss with the paperwork. I've recommended Trupanion to friends and family based on the positive experience I've had with them.

Great coverage at a good price.

Although insurance can be an added monthly expense, it is definitely priceless when needed. I have a $100 annual deductible and 90% reimbursement on covered items. I’d rather pay monthly than to be hit with a huge expense if a serious accident or illness occurs.

Excellent insurance plan

Knowing that we'll always have pets in our home, it is comforting to know that we'll always be able to provide them with complete veterinarian care. This is in part because we want the best for our pets, and because we have insurance coverage through Nationwide. Thank you Nationwide for offering plans that fit our pets lives and our budget.

Great company, really helps with costly procedures

Nationwide is a great company to work with. This is my 3rd year insuring my now senior dog. Having insurance really helps with costly procedures. I highly recommend.

Super quick response

I recently adopted a puppy and took her to a veterinarian. Before I went in I saw that they offered this "wellness package" however the additional cost through them was $40/month. After doing my own research I found Petsbest and I could not be more happier. I was able to add both insurance and wellness and have her insured before her first visit. For the cost of adding both insurance and wellness visits I was even able to save $40/month by not going with two separate companies. I will never have to worry about either of my dogs health because now I have one company that handles those concerns for me.

My dogs care was spectacular and he’s recovering well post surgery

My GSD is now recovering from his 2nd cruciate ligament surgery, made possible due to having insurance with Nationwide. He’s had their insurance since he was a puppy, as have all our dogs. The peace of mind makes pet insurance worth the dollars we pay.

Pet insurance you can trust

This is the only pet insurance that pays you back % of your claim. However, the processing of claims is too long given that everything can be done electronically. I also didn't appreciate when renewal time rolled around, the premium had gone up $25 per month. Although they say its not based on the amount of claims you have, no other reason makes sense. My hope is that this won't become cost prohibitive as my 3yr old dog ages and I have to cancel the policy. I am happy with the service, just a couple of tweets are in order.

Minimal Reimbursements

I have been with Nation Wide since the beginning of 2018. I thought I would go with them because their premiums were lower. Well, I got what I paid for. Less Reimbursements from them. I have two Mastiffs. One is on prescription food. My previous insurer would reimburse almost all of the cost of the food. Nation Wide? $0. So far for both dogs I have paid $1243.50 in Vet bills (NOT including the prescription food), $1,480.08 in premiums for a total of $2,723.58 and have been reimbursed $379.52. This last visit to the vet was the biggest reimbursement. Vet bills $556.99 - Reimbursement $257.74. Finally, something positive.

Pets Best is the BEST!

I've been with Pets Best for 9 years and they have always been Great! They're quick to process claims, give detailed information on the money you receive back and very helpful. I started coverage 9 years ago when my dog was a puppy. As she's gotten older, the rates have increased (not by a crazy amount though) but I have never once thought about looking for another company. They are just that good!

Great customer service

I love doing business with Nationwide. It's very easy to file a claim, and even easier to receive payment electronically. Having a Great Dane I knew it was important to have pet insurance. I've always been happy with the amount of my refunds, especially after TPLO (knee) surgery! And I really don't think the monthly cost is unreasonable. As long as I have a pet, I will have Nationwide insurance.
